I didn't meltdown, I made a decision and walked away. Sorry all 3 people who posted on SS now have to go join everyone in Discord or god forbid talk to real people instead of each other all day.

It was all bantz on my part (except the front page, that was seriously gay), as mocking the fagmins is part and parcel of the permabanned pantshitter culture. Looks I should have meant it seriously. Enjoy being unironically disliked and mocked on Discord instead of ironically mocked on SoSe, I guess.

I want to add something about how Aran couldn't even wait for Lowtax to finish selling SomethingAwful, but we all know that's never going to actually happen so if he wanted out, he wanted out, and at least didn't post any gay polls he was going to ignore. Some warning to grab our favorite shitposts would have been nice, but I imagine anything of value was grabbed during the previous meltdown. Sadly hilarious that it was discord drama that did the site in, but oh well.


The real tragedy is somewhere in the hood in pittsburgh, scorched in the august sun, there is a lawn that is dead long before its time.

I didn't see anything on SoSe that warned or led people to believe Aran would chimpout and delete the forums. Was this all Discord bants that led him to meltdown?
Hell I would have taken the forums off his fat fucking hands and just left it alone until there was only one poster left talking to himself.

Was clear that Aran would chimpout at some point when he had his infamous meltdown a couple of years ago.

the best theory i've heard (not mine) is that aran was trying to nuke all his posts off the site and leave due to being bullied by various users, but he's a fat legomaniac who fucked up and broke everything. and he didn't take a recent backup because he's incompetent. he's also too stupid / selfish to repair the database or let someone else have a go at it. so this is all one big backpedal so that aran doesn't have to admit he's an idiot who fucked up.

That's the worst theory. It's like five clicks to delete a user account in SMF if I just wanted to delete my shit and leave. I fucked up way bigger trying out something completely different and explained what I did when it happened.

It was just in the "Huh, should I bother fixing this or just re-create a new user account for myself" I realized you know what, I don't care, I don't really like any of these people anyhow, let's make it completely not my problem.

YEah I remember when GAPO melted down during the handover to Dog and made deleting his account a requirement of the handover, and that fucked up the forums for weeks after. I lost my excellent Gapomandius shitpost when that happened :( So fucking up the DB and then just tossing up his hands with no recent backup makes sense and would be classic Fagmin.

Anyone clued into the Discord drama want to tell us what the hot bantz that finally killed SoSe was? I'm hoping it was some sick burn and not the usual "Aran fat, gay, and jacks it to underaged cosplayers" whitenoise.
