Yep, that's getting into more advanced stuff. Can play around with ferro rods, or go old school and make some char cloth and spark it with a flint and steel. Make cordage from natural fibers, glue from pitch/resin and ashes, etc. For maximum bushcraft points, master the bow drill fire starting method and the more difficult hand drill method. Primitive Technologies guy can smelt steel at this point and his only investment was a $5 pair of shorts.

Marco Zeferino has one known arrest in Bend, Oregon and was convicted of “Attempt to Commit a Class B Misdemeanor”. He was issued a no contact order with a woman (presumably his wife or girlfriend). I'm assuming the kind of thing they're talking about here is car camping with day-hikes in State/National Parks and not backpacking through them on multiple-day hikes, through hikes, section hikes, or orienteering through backcountry.

I get that the multi-day hiking gear can get kinda expensive with tents good for backpacking (especially for multiple people) generally running in the 100s of dollars (of course tarps with a footprint are always a cheaper option depending on weather and buggyness), merino wool and other technical cloths generally costing a good bit, a quality sleeping bag being potentially pricey as well, and quality backpacks being expensive. Everything else is pretty reasonable or totally unnecessary as far as I'm concerned. Oh and nice boots will run over 100 bucks, so add that to the expensive list.

However, this isn't what they're talking about. I mean it isn't exactly expensive to buy a Coleman tent and just walk around for a few hours then go back to camp and eat hotdogs heated off the campfire less than 50 ft from your car and 1,000 from a public bathroom + clean water access.

It's just these people asking for handouts as usual instead of doing one of the cheapest hobbies known to man. Poor White (and it seems Hispanic and more and more Asian) families have known the the fact that car camping is one of the cheapest vacations known to man and have used it as such to save money but still create vacation memories for generations...

These included demonstrators from Black Lives Matter Chicago, Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation, and Chicago Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression. When you have groups that include the words “Liberation” and “Racist and Political Repression” in their names you know that they’re not planning to discuss issues over coffee. They wouldn’t mind stirring up some trouble.

Long story short, the 20 year old "kid" who got shot and sparked the Chicago looting was from Englewood. But the locals say they weren't the ones who drove into downtown to do the looting. Then multiple organized outside groups were planning to do a staged protest outside the local PD building, ruining the community work they already had going.

You know that 50% of blacks who don't even support defunding the police? This is what they look like.

And this is what a good community relationship with police sounds like. I think this is the cop who comes out in the video above and hugs one of the local activists.

Yet Englewood police officer Cmdr. Larry Snelling had good words to say about Darryl Smith and Duane Kidd:

“These guys right here come out when a community member is hurt, when someone is robbed, whenever someone does violence to another person, they are always out here. And they’re not getting paid for this, they’re doing this because they’re invested in their community.”

Turns out they weren't turned away by "aggressive agitators", they were the agitators, and they were turned away by the locals who recognized them as outsiders intent on causing trouble. The GKMC group is especially recognizable, because one of their leaders is the bitch who was at the Columbus statue siege and got her teeth knocked out. Apparently she's well-known in Chicago as an instigator and who keeps showing up at all these protests and causes trouble.



I don't think I saw it posted, so here's the supremely annoying video she made of "not doing anything" shortly before interfering with an arrest and getting roughed up.
