People will post their pitch for a cartoon in the tag, and while some of them are actually pretty interesting, most of them are just "DUDE DIVERSE CAST LMAO"

If you ignore the LGBTWXYZ+ flags, the art's pretty tame. (Also why does the likes and dislikes part sound like the artist is just making a self-insert.)

I still don't get why they have to make Ermes black despite the canon fact that she's a light-skinned Latina. Also why does F.F. look like a zombie?

Second art is indistinguishable if you remove Giorno's hair donuts.

For the third one: Black. But with blue eyes. Is that even a thing?

The last one is the tamest out of all four, but their dead expressions scare me.

as far as i'm aware within that kind of culture, it's because they believe mermaids, as mammals, would have to be covered in blubber (aka be obese) to survive the cold water, like whales. so they believe all mermaids would HAVE to be fat.

From what I've read, something to do with the sea being colder the more you go deep so the fat is to keep them warm. Except, wouldn't the pressure cause some of that fat to be smaller? Then again, we are talking about mermaids here so who knows how the work.
