Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I don't really get their hold up about in person voting as long as they set up clear guidelines and limit how many people can go in at once, maybe have people to arrive at certain times so you don't have too many people walking in at once. Maybe increase the places people can put in their vote to disperse the numbers and make people wear masks inside while sanitizing their hands when they first walk in and when they leave for good measure. Writing instruments can be one use only if they're really worried. For those that are really concerned about their health (seniors or immunocompromised) have special hours where only they're allowed in, it's what my local drug stores and grocery stores have done. I also wouldn't be too upset about mail in voting for those people either.

Whenever I went to vote it was never very crowded and they already made sure you didn't get too close to other people for concerns about privacy. Then again, US voting is kind of baffling to me with their hold up over having ID to vote because it's been the norm here for a while to need some form of ID to confirm your identity and address.

They're attempting to use covid as some kind of boogey man to get their way, as if illness has only become a thing since this entire thing started.

They claim that voter ID laws are racist for ballot harvesting.

I personally think we should have voter ID AND sign our ballots with our finger prints, which the DMV keep on record anyway

Voting in April caused no corona spike even without major changes.

They're not entirely wrong, it's just that the struggle in attacking Harris is that there's so fucking much wrong with her it's difficult to know where to even begin.
I personally like this quote about her as a starter myself:
Donald J. Harris said:
My dear departed grandmothers, as well as my deceased parents, must be turning in their grave right now to see their family’s name, reputation and proud Jamaican identity being connected, in any way, jokingly or not with the fraudulent stereotype of a pot-smoking joy seeker and in the pursuit of identity politics. Speaking for myself and my immediate Jamaican family, we wish to categorically dissociate ourselves from this travesty.

Her own goddamn father thinks she's a fake joke that shames her family.

This is almost literally what happens, and how something becomes a "best seller" before it even comes out. Because for one thing they take that sales count from the publisher, so if the book chains and Amazon all buy a batch that already counts towards it, but then the publisher's PR firm or somebody will themselves buy pallets of them. "New York Times Best Seller" is an even more meaningless label than "Oscar nominated" or "Nobel winner".
Libraries are likely to buy a pile of them. Given they're the people who have troons reading to infants, they'll boost fellow shitheads.

You might also have a bunch of the woke left buying them for the libraries and it's very hard for them to say no to brand new books. These kinds of books are the ones that probably don't actually get checked out that often and become dated very fast, they just waste shelf space. It doesn't help that the volume at which they produce Orange man bad books is way too high.

Kamala was born to two alien temporary visa holders before the Wong Kim ruling, meaning she isn't eligible for citizenship except through her marriage. By law she can't become President.

The Wong Kim ruling was in the late 1890's, and Commiela's parents were born in the 1900's. I'm not sure what the issue is.

Give me those trashcans in case I'm missing something.

Sorry I fucked that up a bit. The ruling was expanded in case law after her birth, meaning that when she was born she was not considered a citizen unless her parents had naturalized.

Here's the legal opinion:

Welcome to the first rung of the Durham investigation.

Kevin Clinesmith is the FBI agent who texted, “Viva le resistance” in the messages that were uncovered during the original OIG report, I believe it was. He's expecting to plead guilty today for falsifying information that lead to the Carter Page FISA warrant. He's implicated other people in the process during the Durham investigation, so you can expect to hear some phenomenally loud shrieking over the coming weeks, because I can all but guarantee that all of the tripwires are going to start going off.

I get the feeling that this is going to be a messy October.

Now is the time to remember that a guilty plea only counts if it stays that way through sentencing.

:optimistic:

These same people will tell you that 'protesting' outside for Burn Loot Murder and having extravagant indoor funerals for Big Floyd and John Lewis are the most essential activities in the world but voting in person isn't.
I really want Trump to declare Election Day a national holiday. That way, there would be less excuses for people not being able to vote in person. Also, this should have bipartisan support since having this as a national holiday would increase voter turnout across the board.
