I hope it’s that too. If I were Josh I’d tell him that there’s a point where you are the company you keep. Just because you defend something on principal doesn’t mean you need to be knee deep in its shit.

Riley works for you. It’s entirely rational to assume that an employee’s statement came from someone higher up. If it didn’t, you put said employee on a tight leash, or cut them off, and try to rebuild bridges.

This is probably wishful thinking. While obviously the Americans who wrote the constitution would have considered all pornography obscenity not subject to the protection of the first amendment, this is not the current legal consensus. Media that shows photographic depictions of a child being abused is treated as 'different' solely because it depicts actual child abuse. An unprincipled distinction, but that's just the way it is.

Law of the time aside, why does every internet argument seem to devolve into age of consent? It's creepy. It just makes you sound like you are waiting for the second you can pounce on people. Just say the law is what it is but you understand people have moral concerns as well.

People use age of consent because they can't argue with any nuance or are depending on the government to stop them from looking like a freak. 18 is the number you can fuck and die for your country, yet you can't smoke or drink. It should not be used as the moral compass for anything.

Must suck for fans of Dick Masterson, most of them will probably defend his statements but some have to be walking away from him. Imagine using your social media account to defend aspects of CP and pedophilia in a comment chain because the person in question is "Funny" or your "Friend".
