You know, a normal person in this situation would've probably had a wake up call considering everyone shitting on him more than ever but its Alex. What are we to expect. Even if he releases Osana any time soon, the other games are literally blowing him away and honestly I hope he fades into irrelevancy and his weird following cuts him of funds because that's all he's living off of.

Sunk cost fallacy coupled with a delusional belief that he's being attacked for no good reason and roving packs of trolls just select random victims to go after. Which is straight up Chris-chan logic.

Even that mysterious reoccurring paypig is getting in on the whole "speedrun any online presence of YanSim" idea.

It really is. In the literal sense this is post-effects 101, day 1.

Open unity, assets menu->import package->standard post effects.
Select object with main camera, rightclick->add component->postfx->bloom.

Congratulations! you made an update. Throw in a stock anime model and make a youtube video about it and rake in the sweet weeb cash.

One thing to note, this won't murder the framerate since it happens on the GPU which is spinning 90% of the time anyways. If he keeps adding post effects we can look forward to the game melting both the cpu and gpu simultaneously in the future.

Sure thing, but i'm talking about lighting w/post-processing effects since a big resource and i'm 100% sure that Alex doesn't know how bake light or using Unity's light probes, so if you add real-time lighting with tons of models with bad geometry bye bye PC.

I mean this guy in his "benchmark" video is using a Ryzen 9 and a Saphire 5500XT and barely can mantain 60fps.

I know i posted this video pages ago, but it was the only one i remembered that in which these weebs tried to prove that Alex is making progress and YS doesn't have bad FPS.

Every time I read about Alex and his "Mai Waifu" sex doll that he managed to put in his shitty game, I think of this song:

lmao, every time i saw that song reminds me of this:
Actually the hysterical screams are my answer of all this huge "graphics update" when enboost actually exists.

Well, regarding performance, bloom is post-processing shit, as it was said earlier. It’s just a shader program that runs in screen space. Don’t think it’ll affect performance (not to mention it’s probably default unity stuff and not coded by Alex), since there’s no performance on the most machines, to begin with.
There's definitely no reason for bloom to make any noticeable dent on the performance.
I don't know what Unity's default shader does, but there is a super cheap technique made to run on fucking mobile hardware.
Light probes also shouldn't be an issue if they are generated at load-time, and I barely see hints of dynamic lighting anyway. The only reason for a high GPU load I can imagine is some terrible handling of culling for obscured and distant geometry, like a whole bunch of toothbrushes on the other side of the world with more than 1000 triangles per pixel.
If anyone really wants to break down the game's graphics and performance metrics, RenderDoc is an excellent tool.

Some drawfag made this for their failed YandereDev wiki. Figured why not share.

That’s pretty sad and trying a bit too hard. Everything a wiki could say can be found either here or by watching some YouTube videos about Alex and his game.

Exactly, or by reading this thread.

Forgot to mention the person is quite exceptional they were editing the cwcki poorly.

How long before work starts on Rival #2?
Probably double the time it took for Osana to be completed, so...about twelve years. But wait! That's only the amount of time it'll take for the second rival to be finished. Before she can even be started, Alex needs to take yet another year-long vacation because of the evil gremlins!

Well his plan was Osana, into a 'polished' kickstarter demo, run a big budget kickstarter, to hire a team to start it all from scratch.

So never, he never starts work on Rival #2, because I cannot imagine this kickstarter succeeding. Even with a publisher backing it in secret from the shadows, the public knowledge of the game is too toxic. Too much dirty laundry out there too recently.

With his ego I can't imagine him hiring people to recode the game since the last time he did, he couldn't even read it, unless he's going to force them to code like he does.
