Someone explain a thing I experienced to me.
I've been seeing things like pride-flag facemasks on etsy. Whatever, nbd.
HOWEVER, the other day I saw someone wearing one in person and I shit you not that if this person had just NOT had the mask on, I wouldn't have noticed them. I've have just thought it was a tall lady and moved on with my life, but they were wearing a trans flag facemask. In doing so, they outted themselves.
Why? If the mask makes you pass better why would you be all "LOOK AT ME! I AM TRANS!"?

And besides, haven't you heard? Passing is transphobic. You have to be LOUD AND PROUD about it. If Trans Women Are Real Women, then they have nothing to hide. That making people uncomfortably call them "ma'am" makes them giddy in their privates is just a side effect, of course.

From what I seen it seems to be a combination. There are plenty who act like true believers based on various boards they're members of and training/conventions they attend. A lot of the professional development gatherings and other conventions are sponsored by plastic surgeons groups and professional associations, so I assume there are plenty of cutters just in it for the cash.

Trannies are a new income stream. Now they can get guaranteed government cash without all kinds of haggling and shit you see with broke ass gfm trannies now that states are paying for it with Medicaid. Anyone in any business with half a brain, and not constantly showered with money, doesn't pass up government dough. It might be a pain to get in, I know there is a shit ton of paperwork for Medicaid, and it may take a bit longer to get paid, but you get your money and you're going to have guaranteed patients if you're a state contractor for crotch cutting.

I support Medicare for All, including for people who have COPD or who are paralyzed from their motorcycle accident and other self-imposed conditions, but I cannot support the government paying for this. People are dying out there because they can’t get insulin but troons can get surgery?

In addition to being a fetish as others have mentioned, an important part of being a modern leftist is being a victim. A significant portion of your identity is tied to how you are oppressed and who is oppressing you: it's white men. Victims are lionized to the point of being fetishized by the left at this point. Nobody is braver or stronger than a victim.

How can you get the validation and asspats you crave for being a proud transwymyn if nobody knows you're one? What good is being super special if nobody knows it?
