The writers can still give Ralph further memorable story arcs such as the "Ralph applies for welfare"-arc or "Ralph tries and fails to rob a liquor store"-arc. The writers however will have truly outdone themselves if Ralph's character arc ends with him trooning out and naming
Until he gets cleaned up there's nothing he can and will do. There are people who work well under some influence (eg.: Doug Stanhope) but for 99.9% of the people it doesn't work, especially when said influence ruins everything outside the show too. If he can put up a good show people will flock back, Kraut had a carrier after the Trout Saga, and people will watch a good debate/spergfest but it helps if the one who's sperging isn't the show runner.

No one emailed the governor, people just saw one person say that and jumped on the bandwagon... I just got a screenshot of an email and posted it here and on Twitter to fuck with Ralph, but that email was NOT to the governor because I looked up the name email address on the screenshot and it's to a guy in the Loudoun sheriff's office. Null was actually the first one to say that it was emailed to the governor because he's an idiot and can't be bothered to look up the name of the governor, which is nowhere close to the name on the screenshot...
