Eat shit and die, Funimation is never getting my money again. I would've been willing to give them a second chance had they fixed the problems with the script adaptations with some of their dubs but after all that has happened to Vic and the way you treated him.

No. Never again.

"You hate these companies and despite that steal products that they licensed AKA didn't actually fucking make."

I'm amazed this guy can dress himself every day.

Let's see:
  1. Badmouthing customers? Check.
  2. Insulting, harassing and even doxing detractors? Check.
  3. Not accepting constructive criticisms or contrasting opinions? Check.
  4. Betraying and slandering a man who worked for them and considered them friends? Check.
  5. Inserting unnecessary political commentary in cartoons that they didn't create? Check.
  6. Supporting terrorists like ANTIFA and the worst of BLM? Check.
  7. Comparing pirates to colonizers while being a capitalist corporation itself? Check.
  8. Not discipling their voice actors for unprofessional behavior online? Check.
  9. Not firing those responsible for giving them bad PR and costing them money? Check.
  10. Whining about "women's rights" while housing a sexually charged working environment and sexually charged cartoons? Check.
  11. A crappy subscription service? Check.
  12. Sometimes bad translations? Check.
  13. Sometimes awful voice acting quality? Check.
I can go on. These may not be valid reasons to pirate anime, BT, but they're certainly valid reasons not to buy their shitty products, just like how there's valid reasons to believe that you're a fucking loser who is considered the ugly duckling of your own family.

This guy does nothing but piss and moan on Twitter all day in his home. I'd be shocked if he wears anything at all.

You forgot the other reasoning. People are cheap

Number one and two on that list right there is reason to never give fun a single dime ever.
Treat your customers like crap and trust me..they will find another way to get it or drop it completely leaving a company with a where house full of non moveable product that gets sold off cheap for space to a liquidator.

While we're on this topic, I'd like to show the class this news.

Many big Japanese studios have united for one central YouTube channel. Why does this matter? Besides being unprecedented for these rival companies to work together to provide a free and convenient way to stream anime for free. There are rumblings to eventually provide this type of channel internationally with subtitles.

What would these ingrates have to say if fans could watch subtitled anime for free and legally NOT from any American anime company?

I'd honestly have to thank Ken Akamatsu of Love Hina and Negima for this. He personally came forward to Cultural Affairs in the last end of June and made it known that Japanese cultural influence is extremely important in anime, and that protecting it from foreign influence should be made a priority. Cultural Affairs took great note of his pitch.

Funny to say for all of my lurking, ANN never did feature a story on this....

Ken Akamatsu is an absolute badass of an individual who doesn't like companies attempting to take someone's work for their own agenda and I'm glad he's continuing the good fight.

The good thing is this tweet is being ratioed to hell and back.

"This may be the whitest most American thing I've ever seen."

Have you ever noticed the people complaining about racism or colonism or whatever the loudest are whiter than Nick Rekieta Wonderbread?

The average black/brown/yellow person doesn't give a shit

If Narmak is any indication, YouTube doesn’t like animation, that which they can’t control, or anything they feel isn’t clean enough to show to advertisers and potential investors. And given how YouTube is a bunch of suits who probably haven’t been anything close to invested in anime since Pokemon was in the Indigo League. This is going to be fun to watch to see if this channel actually breaks through or if YouTube putting down a jackboot blows up in their faces.

Piracy is great because it's the closest thing I can do to punching the shitty people who run companies like Funimation or Discotek in the face. It makes me happy to know they paid some Japs money to license something and then spent their own money to translate it and I took their hard work (or not lol) for free for my personal enjoyment.

This is going to be as fun as that time Youtube's CEO was caught on camera calling a black guy a nigger off the streets of Silicon Valley.
