Original: The feel good horror comedy where Dax is uncomfortable with illustrations of children getting railed but realizes that there is technically no victim and free speech applies to things that make even him uncomfortable.

2016 remake: a long convoluted story that is an unfunny horror where Dax uses a mentally ill pedophile and 2 retarded drug addicts to do his dirty work.

Spoiler: TL;DR plot breakdown

Plot A Dax mistakenly believes that an assumed cappo he believed was under his control due to being in a rough spot for money, is not his bitch Dax sends multiple cappos to hurt what he cannot control while pretending to have 0 involvement We'll call this charachter Joosh.
In a B plot line Joosh slowly comes to terms with the person that he sees as a big brother respected him about as much as he respects any other cappo and that he may have been manipulated. After a fight with one retarded cappo ending their life graphically and brutally Josh comes to terms with this and fights his conflicting feelings of confronting one of the few people who tried to help him.
The A and B plot meet in the finale. However instead of a conflict like in the original where Dax comes to terms with free speech means freedom for things even he doesn't like, Dax literally defends pedophiles and denies things he has already been caught doing.
Joosh walks away and in the final scene Dax and Riley light a crack pipe together and burn the entire building they are smoking crack in down while in it screaming how awesome they are and how much they are winning and how chad they are.

Riley is technically right, but not in the way he wants to be.
