You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

To be fair, some people genuinely seem think that major corporations like Sony or Microsoft actually have their best interest at heart.
I mean sure, but to be fair YandereDev's a fucking horrible game dev with no fucking clue how to do shit. Doesn't change my opinion that those making clones of his game are in the same boat as him, being slightly smarter doesn't matter if you're comparing it to a moron, same shit applies to those black pilled on corps imo.

If they also throw in those shitty clapping emojis 👏 like 👏 this 👏 like 👏 an absolute faggot, I think the same but they're also black.
I've seen something similar where a person used periods instead of clapping emojis. Example: What. About. Black. Lives. Matter?
It makes me think of someone speaking in that choppy manner that sounds as offputting as nails on a chalkboard.

The start of COVID was great, because the goddamn streets were empty making my life that much easier.
When I worked from home and only went to the office long enough to check for mail and phone messages, I loved knowing I could go any time of the day and not get caught in heavy traffic. Once things opened up here and I returned to the office, traffic seems heavier than it even was before the shutdown.

My latest peeve is people who call the office and refuse to identify themselves or refuse to give a straight answer when I ask who's calling or what the call is about. Telemarketers doing this are automatically deemed shady or potential scam attempts. Individuals that do this make me question their real reason for calling. There's also an irony to those that call, refuse to say who they are, and demand I give them details about myself or the workplace that they can't even tell me about themselves.

I'm getting sick and tired of getting phone calls where people are trying to sell me on changing something with my home. I'm even more sick of telling them not to call, them telling me they'll put me on the "do not call" list, only to have them call me again with the same stupid deal.
For the last 6 months or so I've gotten a phone call from some company where they're constantly asking me if a random person by some name is here, and I tell them that I'm not the person they're looking for and they quickly hang up, then call me again weeks or a month later. How many times do I have to tell them they don't have the right person?

If you're in the UK, try TPS , I've known people to have some success with it, in terms of reducing spam calls, etc.

If only, ha. The second one I was mentioning is the weirdest. I think maybe the person they're looking for used to have the number I have, I have no idea really. I'm just sick of getting calls asking for the same person or their wife. Every time I've told them it's the wrong number.

Well, that sucks. I had something similar happen a few years ago with my landline number. I started just lifting the receiver (in the kitchen) and putting the handset in a cake tin so they could talk to their own echo until they got bored. Took a couple of weeks but they stopped calling. Try swearing at them, that often results in a hang-up. ;)

I think the most you can do here is put yourself on the national registry for the "do not call" list, which I'm on and tell them to put you on that list when they call. The bigger problem are all the spoofed numbers. I'm pretty sure some random person who had my number before signed up for something, and now it's permanently attached to my account.

Being moralfagged at because I don't support "causes". Imagine being told that you're a bad person because you don't donate to charity, or you don't get out there and support some kind of political cause, as if doing so would be a benefit to anybody other than a gaggle of suits. If I wanted to help out my fellow man I'd do something actually worthwhile, like humanitarian work.

That's really shitty. :( Hope you manage to get that sorted.

Being a broke college student, I know that a lot of people also literally don’t have money to spare for donations. Donating time directly is “free”, and also more personal if you volunteer with local groups. Plus I prefer giving directly to some charity over going through a middle man/third party charity thing.

Personal thing that pisses me off: driving anxiety. It’s not even consistent. I worry about fucking up and if I can do it properly but then when im actually on the road I’m cool as a cucumber. I hate the anticipation.

I got my license kind of late because I was scared to drive. Wimpy, I know. Maybe it’s my parents’ fault for not getting me to drive earlier. In fact they act like I’m still a bad driver and don’t know what I’m doing. Even tried to discourage me from buying a car for whatever stupid reason. I guess it could just be parental concern but it’s more like trying to be control-freaks that gave me anxiety.

My thing is that I don't answer my phone if I don't know who 's calling. Yep, spammers, despite my number being on the do not call registry. A couple of years ago, some number would keep calling me at different hours and such. The voicemail that always followed was from the local school for the deaf, asking if (student's) parents were home. This continued for a month or so until they called very late at night once on a Saturday. Picked up, told the dumb bitch on the other end there was nobody here by that name, that they had the wrong number.
"But your number's in our database."
Fuckin' no, it ain't. Told them it was the wrong number, to stop calling me.
Few days later, guess what, kids? They call back. Same deal. "Wrong number", "don't call here again", blah blah. Dumb bitch said it won't happen again.
Later that week? They fucking text me about some group project asking if (student) would attend. Told them via text the same damn thing. It seems to have sunken in.
Saved the number as "Deaf Fucks" in case they try calling or texting again. Hasn't happened yet.

It's so annoying. I've repeatedly said that it's the wrong number and they still call asking for the same person. It seems to be some kind of weird business deal someone signed up for.

You found that out and then squandered the chance to answer every subsequent call with "WHAT? WHAT? YOU'LL HAVE TO SPEAK UP! WHAT???"

I'm kinda disappointed.
To be fair, it was something like 9 PM and I was half asleep. Wonky sleep schedule.

On topic: opening a bottle of soda, then a few seconds later it explodes all over you like it was shaken up, even though it wasn't.

ha, kind of similar for me. I was quite late getting mine too for the same reason. I find that I only ever get the anxiety when I know I'll have a passenger with me. When I'm alone and driving I'm fine.

I still have anxiety about driving completely alone. I got used to driving with a family member while learning so without one I sometimes worry I’ll do something wrong and have no one to let me know. I might try listening to music and see if that helps. I suppose my main problem now is I need the experience that only more time driving will give.

The phone spammers have been pissing me off as well. Keep getting calls for some other guy at weird hours of the day. Try being polite and tell them they have the wrong number, no sell. Try just ignoring the calls, nope.

Like someone else said, get a little rude and mean and then they'll stop. Same idiot called for this mystery dude at 10:30 at night not long ago. I said I had told her several times she has the wrong number and my question now is she deaf or retarded because it has to be one or the other at this point. No more calls since.
