Inactive Richard "Lowtax" Kyanka - Deadbeat (emphasis on "Dead") founder of Something Awful, forced out of his own community, on his second divorce, stuck his dick in crazy, "Birth Giver"

just for the record, i have been diagnosed with "degenerative disc syndrome" or whatever and i have been addicted to opioids and i have lived with pain and it kind of makes me laugh to hear lowtax act like its some unique situation that only he can understand. like he has lou gehrig's disease and HE is lou gehrig.

anywhos i could go on and on explaining it to anyone who cares, but i will tell you what my spine doctor/ drug pusher told me when i asked if there was something serious about the diagnosis: "everybody has degenerative disc syndrome, they just wear out sooner for some people. you will be chasing that "perfect" feeling for the rest of your life and you will never find it. deal with it" *over-prescribes cancer-grade morphine to the sweaty quivering drug-addict before him*

*four years clean and sober (except for weed) (and painkillers)

I feel your pain. My L2 S5 is pretty much gone. All I can do about it is keep my weight down and strengthen my back muscles. For a couple years, I wasn't even able to tie my shoes. Shit is no joke. Lowtax doesn't move like someone with a major spinal injury unless he's on some kind of super Oxycontin 24/7.

Most people have some sort of chronic shit as they age, especially degenerative disc disease. You manage it by not being a gluttonous sloth. Dehydration makes my back flare up so I lay off the alcohol. And do the recommended exercises and practice good posture. Without a doubt lowtax does none of that shit, and when his spine comes crushing down he instead blames his doctors for not fixing him properly and the insurance companies for not immediately paying for the surgical/medication option.

i avoided surgery because basically, while it takes pressure off the degenerated discs, it causes additional stress to the next one up and the next one down, accelerating the process further. i got the cortosone shots and even had some nerves "burned" out but it never helped still hurts if i dont take care of myself.

regular massages (happy ending ftw) and staying in top physical condition helps a lot

an interesting side anecdote: when i was having my nerves burned out they were unable to knock me out because of my beastly opioid resistance

But if you transfer to it from a less histaminergic opioid and have a lot of tolerance, you can genuinely have a very scary experience not unlike anaphylaxis.

So if this is really happening, or ever did, it's because he's a giant drug addict who is used to taking more potent drugs, but has run out of drug money lately and is trying to fill in the gap with a shitty drug like tramadol, with predictably unpleasant results.

People have mentioned that opiods can make you itchy by themselves, but so can liver damage. Being an alcoholic damages the liver, being fat damages the liver, meds damage the liver.

No sane doctor would prescribe tramadol to a patient already on SSRIs and Xanax, that is a recipe for serotonin syndrome and a malpractice suit. So either Lowtax is getting one or more of these drugs off the black market or he's doctor shopping and lying to each new doctor about what he's taking.

people who played sports are less likely to be tranny weirdos in my experience

Gonna powerlevel for a moment. Actual allergies to opioids are very, very rare. I have a genuine allergic reaction to opioids, which I found out in my twenties when I was prescribed some after a mountain-bike accident. My entire face and throat blew up to basketball proportions and I was rushed to the hospital barely able to breathe. There's a gigantic red flag in my medical chart for it. When I had surgery a few years ago, there were cards and flags over all the surgical notes and even hanging on my gurney alerting not to give me any opioids under any circumstances. A special anesthetist was called in to do the anesthesia. LowT has posted pics from the hospital and talked about his surgeries and has never shown or mentioned any of that. I agree with you, Lowtax is a junkie liar who is as full of shit about this as about everything else.

Yeah an easy tell is when the pill seeker is telling their doctor things like, "Oh I'm allergic to Percocet, the only one I can take is Dilaudid," because if you really have an allergy you can't take any of them.

And yeah reiterating everyone has Degenerate Disc Disease, and if you do a lot of drugs and don't take care of yourself it affects you earlier than others.
