I watched the whole thing (because I have nothing better to do in my free time), and while it was certainly cancerous, I can’t say I’m surprised by it given what I know of Vaush.

The part that really sticks in my craw though was near the end when he accuses Tracey of being a conservative simply because some conservatives agree with what he says. From what I know of Tracey, he just speaks his mind on issues that he cares about without letting partisan politics influence what he says, and will say the same things regardless of whether he’s talking to someone on the left or the right. Just because some conservatives agree with what he’s saying doesn’t mean that he’s on their team. By that logic, if you say that the earth is round and a Nazi uses your argument to make his case as such, then that means that you are a Nazi. Vaush though says this is bad because what Michael Tracey argues doesn’t bolster his preferred narrative, and you should only have principles insofar as they bolster the right narrative.
