I remember a time where he'd spam KIA and /v/ with his fucking shitty articles through various socks and puppets, with the articles regularly redneck flexing on how he'd upset someone like Leigh Alexander or some other antiGG nowadays irrelevant, with the article having more to do with how badass and cutting edge Ralph is than actually making a point. Maybe I'm wrong, I haven't had the personal interaction with him you have, but Ralph has always craved attention and recognition for shitting on easy targets. To me it looks like he gets MATI when either 1. He doesn't feel he's getting the type of attention he feels he's entitled to or 2. When instead of feeding his own narrative of being the big internet badass someone laughs at him for being the wobbly ball of addiction and insecurity he is. As someone not as close to it as you were he's always been addicted (to the point of I'll suck your dick crack addict) to attention and praise directed to the public persona he tries (and fails) to build for himself.
