Apparently Sundance of the Conservative Treehouse released the name of the special investigator (William Aldenberg) after holding off from revealing several days ago, and he's implying that Devin Nunes and the Conservative Treehouse readers knew more about the attempted coup than Barr and Durham (and that the Durham investigation is a colossal fuck-up).

But I can't help but be skeptical of Sundance's claims.

His logic makes sense. The investigations are compartmentalized, preventing figures involved from noticing coincidences regarding timing of multiple events. Such as the spying on senators that were looking into them by spying on who they spoke to.

By doing this they can more easily avoid larger conspiracies being uncovered, in this case the blatant coup attempt. It’s why there ought to have been a special counsel appointed to investigate since they’d have free reign to look into anything they wanted and put force against those senators and so on.

Very true, Trump is at best a New York Republican, but he's a pro-business, pro-America one and that confuses the everliving fuck out of them. The Democrat view is actually slightly more nuanced than simply anti-business/anti-America (in that there are layers upon layers of the way they want to distort, control, and decimate both), but I do think he's sincere about both and that just mystifies them since not only is he effectively a liberal with those views he's also a Republican with those views and when was the last time they saw a sincere one of those in power?

Democrats and lefties in general have a very difficult time with people who have partial belief overlap with them but then disagree with them on other, perhaps fundamental issues. This actually seems to confuse and thus enrage them more than people who purport to disagree with them completely and entirely. They're used to mindless opposition, it's the way they function too after all, the idea that someone could, say, be for gay rights, drug decriminalization, and not interested in promoting religion via legislation, but also be for gun rights, against abortion, and hate taxes just doesn't compute, you get that sputtering NPC reaction where they throw an error and start oscillating.
