A lot of it is fan art. I think the one in question was fan art too. I don't think it was commissioned. Often when people make fan art they make the people more attractive etc so as to not upset the people they idolize. They literally pull it out of their (or their lover's) ass with a thumb

Money is funny in that way. If you don't have 50k it is a lot, but if you do have it it can seem nothing. Same with 100, 200 or 500k.

Please save aggressively and take advantage of compound interest, Kiwis. Most people need about $2 million to retire at a decent age.

I think there's a difference between $50k being "nothing" and $50k not worth going to court over. But we also have to remember that Mr. Vickers was flipping out the other day because they wasted $10k on this whole fiasco, so obviously $50k isn't nothing to the guy even if he says it is.

I'd still say it's not worth a protracted legal battle, especially when even if you do win you still have to find a way to get the money. The court doesn't do that for you and the gunt is notoriously allergic to paying his debts (student loans, mortgages, etc.) Plus him griefing him this way is fun.

All Vickers needs to do is open a Patreon/Merch Store, and he could get in on the grifter competition!

Also for the whole $50K thing people are getting hung up on:

1, there's a chance Vickers doesn't win or it just gets thrown away.

2, After lawyer fees and the government's cut, he probably wouldn't see much of whatever he'd win anyway. Plus if that counts on his income he'll probably have to pay taxes on it anyway.

Personally, I agree with Vickers, he should just fuck with Ralph. If he's able to buy out Ralph's home that'd be the ultimate "fuck you". Maybe he can somehow write it off as a business expense, opening an office in VA?

I know it's all lost in the thread through various replies with other people, but my original point was how funny it is that several people quickly chimed in that 50k isn't a lot of money. Clearly Vickers has money, but I'd be willing to bet random Kiwis aren't sitting on stacks of cash and them saying 50k is nothing is just comical.

Bare in mind so far the bloke has done fuck all but started some exceptional word press website about his story, which really isn't his story as far as thumbs up the ass go.

If there's anything I've learned from following DarksydePhil is to NEVER expect anyone to deliver.

However, he is setting himself up for massive backlash because he is painting this insane revenge fantasy. I hope he knows if he under delivers people will not just walk away.

Better yet, Patreon! He could have tiers and goals where the harassment and humiliation escalates. Releasing his sad simp texts starting at $100, pictures of Ethan Ralph posing for his racoon fursona portrait for Faith at $1000. Slowly the pot would grow to the point where Vickers would just buy up all the other crack shacks on the street, rigging them with the haunting sounds of Earjuice remixes, PPP and Godwinson hollering how the ride never ends. There will be no other residents, so no real crime. The cycle of grifting never ends!

I wonder who holds Ralph's student loan debt? Is it public or private? I don't believe it's easily discharged either way.

If private, I wonder if it would be possible to buy it out from the current holders. One assumes he's only getting away with not paying it because he has no wages to garnish. Usually, that would be how the lenders collect on deadbeats like Ralph. #2 would be if he had set up a corporation to route it through, which I think we all know he's too financially illiterate to do.
