It's always been there. You just don't notice it because you aren't interested in that sort of thing. You have to be actively looking for it. It just shows you are a normal well adjusted person.
The French and much Europe in general have a long history of this. But what shocked me is, Google and IMDB seem quite happy to point out which movies have underage nudity or sex. Which I found disturbing.
