There is no justifying a fetish. But even worse is flaunting one. A ridiculous number of people have some fetish or another, but only a sperg actually goes around telling people about it. It's like the over-sharing asshole who describes his bowel movements. It just shouldn't be done.
Oh, I certainly agree. People should be more considerate of other people's feelings. Not everyone sadly, has the decency to be respectful of an artist's wishes, and sometimes things can get really bad before their fellow freaks have to step in and say "Stop doing this crap, you're making us look bad!"
I hate to bring up diapers again, but this needs to be pointed out as an example. Babyfurs, diaperfurs, and ABDLs on DA will sometimes shove their tastes on people (Lesser known artists usually) who are more mature or rarely draw baby pics. But when a person is asked to draw a picture of someone in a diaper and it's not what they thought it would be, like a baby version of someone, they're deceiving the artist, because that artist will learn that their "innocent" drawing is masturbation material for someone. It doesn't help that, regardless of context, people will get off to it anyway. They get attention from a community they want no part of and try to distance themselves as far as possible. You could draw something for whatever reason and you'll get people who jump to conclusions and insist you draw more of the same, regardless of your actual feelings. I'll point out some examples:
Someone who watches me says that a friend of his drew one Adventure Time fanart even though she didn't like the show. She was bombarded with requests for more and people consulted her like she was an expert on it. A furry artist got hounded to draw Starfox art a lot for this reason and she locked down requests. ToddlerNaruto pestered someone for diaper art and the artist never came back to DA because of that guy. Bluejr stalked a babyfur artist for years to get him to draw him Blue from Blue's Clues in diaper, but was repeatedly told no. He got an account on Furaffinity just to get a kiriban from him and got it. He reluctantly did the drawing, and then locked down requests and kiribans as people tend to take advantage of freebies, and they become more demanding and less appreciative of what you do, if at all.
Many artists have disconnected themselves or left DA or other art sites for similar reasons. The point is that I should NOT be stalked, harassed or even watched by weirdos who want me to draw stuff for them like they're entitled to them. I don't want knuckleheads like those two I mentioned sucking up to me for freebies. I shouldn't be nagged to draw stuff that makes me uncomfortable. I don't care how much you like my work or think I'm one of the best artists (Protip: I'm not, and I feel my work needs much improvement before I can even call it good enough to where I feel I can look back on it and be proud of what I do). If you really like my work, show me the proper respect by not forcing or begging me to draw fetishy stuff for you.
