The top articles about Antifa on Facebook are highlighting their terrorist actions. Nice!

Looks like Antifa and BLM bit way more than they could chew. If this trend of the news openly discrediting and shaming BLM/Antifa continues, it could cause some serious chaos amongst their ranks.

To say nothing of the DNC elites, who are probably shaking their heads wondering "How did this go so wrong? We had it all planned out..."

I can see using a google cardboard alike (plenty floating around on amazon which aren't made of cardboard), stripping out the lenses and eye partition, and just turning on the camera and using the camera app to see out the other side as a jogger-rigged version of what you're thinking of.

I have some reservations about this idea:
1) Slight delay from when something actually happens to when you see it.
2) Loss of depth perception, camera lenses messing with perception.
3) Keeping the phone screen on.
4) Battery life.

3 can likely be configured around, worst case scenario making a simple purpose built app. 4 can be largely worked around with USB-C or an iPhone (making sure it charges faster than it drains is the goal) hooked up to an external battery pack.

1 and 2 are the bigger concerns in a situation where things can go from fine to utter shit in less than 2 seconds, so I'd consider such a solution a "better than nothing" approach for situations where other risk factors are outweighed by a laser threat. Mileage may vary based on phone, camera lens, etc. You'd want to make sure you train with these to get used to how it screws with perception in general to use them in any meaningful way.

A piece of tech that apparently doesn't work great but employs an interesting design relevant to your line of thinking is the PVS-21, might be worth looking at if you're in an ideas mood.
I looked up pvs 21s and those are expensive.

I'm thinking as diy yourself as possible.

I did think pin holes in cardboard glasses but that doesnt work. Shades to block out laser (such as welding helmets) Might not work all types of lasers and limit ability to see. A see through cloth might work but not a complete solution.

The app and battery idea I think would be best.

Such an app could also include ad hoc network for others with same app. So folks can see where their buds are like dots on a multi player fps match. Could over lay a map too.

Also thinking of one way mirror glass. The one with mirror on the outside and see through on other. Dont know how effective that would be. Especially in low light conditions. Maybe have said glasses slope at an angle as to reflect the laser else where.

Or just get cybernetic eyes.

Welp, we knew it was only a matter of time:

Remember: They want you and your family dead and will laugh while it happens.
MY SWEET CANNON NEVER SAW COLOR
Is that colorblind ideology I hear? Cool it with the anti-black remarks! In all seriousness though, of course Cannon Hinant's death isn't comparable to Floyd or any other BLM martyr's death - it's much fucking worse, the closest shooting to it would be fucking CHAZ lighting up what they thought was a couple of Proud Boy chuds and then moving in to execute one anyway.

It's a soft glow, but it still glows. Stop encouraging people to participate you dick.

A write-up in Reason magazine from someone actually on the ground in Portland. (archive)

The crowd of about 150 is almost entirely made of college-age kids in black militia chic. I am struck by how ungainly most of them look; how the uniform is what bequeaths a sense of stature, of belonging, of power. Individually they are frail, uncoordinated, splay-footed, or fat. They are not an elite fighting force, regardless of how they appear as they move monolithically into the streets.

That's even meaner than we are when describing them.

I ask him about what happened the night before, that guy being pulled out of the truck. Does black bloc have any feelings about that?

"It's the 7-Eleven kids, the kids that hang out at the 7-Eleven," he says, noting that they're not affiliated with anyone. "The cops know they're there," he adds. "They've got them on video. They should have been there."

Right, but the cops are chasing black bloc all over the city, I remind him. Which seems to give him pause.

"They should have been there," he repeats, showing something less than anarchistic purity.

Cognitive dissonance aside, this echos something a handful of other Antifa have claimed, that the 7-11 crowd isn't really BLM. But they are known as a specific sub-group, and they are known to cause trouble.

So where's that "community policing" to take care of it? Why isn't BLM sending de-escalation officers and social workers to the spot where they know it is needed?

They weren’t real? Could have fooled me.

Lemme put it this way, there were elements that were based on real events but it wasn't just a Jew thing. It was a "spoiled rich cosmopolitan dilettante" thing, which thanks to how the Early Modern Period and Industrial Revolution ultimately played out, was mostly comprised of Anglo-Saxons and Nordics in the Anglosphere, Ashkenazim in Germany, and petty bourgeoisie Russians who were educated in the West.

These rootless globalist types are majority comprised of Anglos and Jews by ethnicity, but they are culturally part of neither group and view themselves as a intentionally rootless cosmopolitan class above all nations and races.

Basically, these are the rich motherfuckers who skew towards megalomania, high-functioning sociopathy, or just plain Machiavellian paranoia.

People like the Rothschild Dynasty, Jeff Bezos, the House of Windsor, the wider Clinton/Obama political machine, the wealthy neocons from the Bush clique, George Soros, the Koch Brothers, and so on are playing on a whole different ball game.

These are the kind of people I often refer to as the bigwigs and it's a big club but we ain't in it and neither are the majority of the people on the local, state, or even federal level.

To use a cringe autistic meme as an analogy, the different people are playing different games all at once.

Antifa and BLM are playing IRL Grand Theft Auto

Trump and the DNC are playing 4-D Chess, as the Q-Boomers often say

The bigwigs are playing 21-Dimensional Vampire: The Masquerade where everyone's ruling over some aspect of society and everyone's trying to blackmail and manipulate everyone else.

The really powerful and ambitious bigwigs (Soros, Bezos, Koch Brothers) are playing Advanced Quantum Crusader Kings II set on the Dante Must Die difficulty level and they've been winning for the most part

I feel like most of the back and forth arguments on Jews really come down to definitions here; For example, since I'm an edgy Hibernian I don't really see any difference to the Anglo and the Jew: They are merely two sides of the same coin to me.

And people have different opinions on if ethnicity versus religion matters more on this stuff, so you see different focuses on what "Jew" means: Some people focus more on the Atheist Ethnic Jews who are huge advocates of Communism; Other people, such as more traditionalist Christians, do take more issue with the Orthodox, religious Jews for being heretics and other religious disputes. Personally, I have issues with both groups, but I do keep them noted as separate entities; However, at the same time, I do understand why people are reductive and just lump the two groups together, as in online discussions brevity usually is encouraged.

tl;dr: Online discussion usually encourage people getting to the point (unless you are on Reddit lmao), and because of that they will omit importance nuance to their arguments
Beyond that autism, I completely agree with your point.

Why are they so obsessed with QAnon? Does a stupid 4chan meme picked up by gullible boomers threaten Our Democracy™️ that much?
My hottake: QAnon is dumb, but since big tech is full of Redditors they can't just laugh at the lolcows so they start trying to bloodlet all the q-tards, which of course only makes them more influential.

QAnon is a 4chan shitpost that was probably co-opted by glowies or clickbait mill journalists for political gayops and the Facebook grannies and Boomer rednecks fell for it way too hard

I know it sounds like QAnon, but so does the Protocols of Zion, just replace "Satanic pedophiles run a Moloch temple from a pizza place" with "The Jews invented AstroTurf because they hate grass"

There are "deep state" conspiracies but it's almost always just obscenely rich assholes using their wealth and resources to influence other powerful people so they can stay rich and powerful and try to get more rich and powerful. That's been well-documented in history since the beginning of time.

Before you had guys like Soros and the Koch Brothers, it was the Hapsburg empires, the Tudors in England, or the Borgias and the Medicis, and before that there were the Plantagenets and the Carolingians and prior to that you had guys like the House of Julii and the Flavian Dynasty, and that's just within the Western world.

Obscenely rich assholes like to influence politics and society. They always have and they always will. Same shit, different day.

A Pittsburgh streamer got maced earlier and it was glorious. He was talking so much shit about the police but all the bravado was gone once he got a taste of mace. The protesters also started arguing with each other to the surprise of no one. For some reason these idiots moved up against the police line instead of moving back and then seemed surprised when they got maced. You could hear someone screaming at the group to move away but they didn’t listen.

I decided to look for antifa tears on twitter. Some journalists still insist the Boogaloo boys are to blame for the violence.

One lady is shocked that Facebook took down Crimethinc, a page that frequently incites violence and gives advice on how to commit crimes. The Crimethinc twitter is still up though. https://twitter.com/crimethinc

I don't use facebook, how certain are you that this isn't curated content for you based on your profile of being a literal fucking nazi?

edit: ps im actually serious, how do you know it's not facebook giving you think it thinks you want?
I barely use Facebook and never use it to look for news. I guess it's possible they got information from some other site like google, though.

And I'm not a nazi, lol. I'm mixed race.

Then good. If anything the fire rises from this, ironically.
You don't get to decide if you're a nazi or not, I do.

I wish I could be a fly in the wall on the meetings that involve decisions on what gets allowed to stay up and what doesn't.

Quick Facebook searches or ‘Black Lives Matter Raccoon’ and ‘James Blue Raccoon’ (‘raccoon’ is top result when searching his name) show that a lot of people seem to be seeing this, even if news sources are not talking about it (yet :optimistic: )
Some foundation page with 22K likes seems to have posted an entire dox, but unconfirmed if accurate so far

Seems like every day, I find another reason to despise the Washington Post. The gaslighting is just insulting. Only truly wicked people lie as easily as they do.

I used to start my day with wapo just for the insanity below the article. This was when russian bots w ere apparently invading the internet so it was people on the same side calling each other russian bots. Haven't checked in on that in a few years but it made me smile at the time.
I'd read most of the articles too but like you say they're very gaslighty.
