"Anti-SJWs are worse than SJWs"
As if being ignorant of certain specific details of a dysfunctional industry is worse than being a person who is so filled with such irrational hate that you justify things like cancel culture.
BT has truly no understanding of anything.
"Also, what with this obsession for Japanese values?"
I just cannot even... With these people whose claim to moral rectitude is SJW dogma, who then can completely, publicly discount the values of an entire minority culture... The 'obsession' with Japanese values is that people are capable of respecting a culture that isn't their own and can object to a different set of people walking in and trying to make it play to American sensibilities. It's multi-culturalism, you dimwit. It's respecting the people of Japan enough to believe their art, their words, and their messages should be shared with the rest of the world the way their creators intended, even if the viewer doesn't personally agree with everything Japanese.
I'm more curious on how undersimp thinks this japan's new YouTube channel is going to help funimation or crunchyroll at all?
These people literally have no ability to project themselves into the future. They cannot look at yesterday, look at today, and then reason out what things are likely to happen tomorrow. They are devolving in real time.
Yesterday, American anime fans were becoming alienated from their American anime providers by a host of factors. Today, Japan is starting to put a limited number of shows direct on YouTube (available only in Japan).
An SJW stops there. Today, those fans are disenfranchised losers who have no alternatives. Today, the YouTube channel hasn't even gone up yet and has made absolutely no changes in the anime market. Today, all the American Anime studios are fine. Anyone who looks into the future and predicts something different than today is an idiot.
However, a rational, fully human being can look at yesterday, look at today, and then conclude that the disenfranchised viewers will create a market that will encourage the Japanese YouTube channel to become available in multiple countries, and consistently add new content. A fully human person will be able to deduce that nobody starts a project without anticipating that it may grow. No project starts out at full scale. If that channel meets the needs of the disenfranchised viewers and grows, then it will eat away at the market share occupied by American companies, and those companies will take losses. They may be 'fine' right now, but they aren't great. They aren't booming. Their ability to take losses is finite.
The writing is on the wall. SJWs just can't read.
