Knowing someone with mental illness BPD, narcissism, bi polar, people like this to tend to willfully misinterpret their freedom as them winning over the doctors, when in reality, the doctors are just humouring them as they have bigger fish to fry. Crazy people are so narcissistic that they convince themselves that they are sane and everyone else is crazy. We already know that this is something that Tom does regularly as it is.

Depending on the time when Tom was committed will play into the 72 mark; I think anytime after 5/7 pm it doesn't count as day one. So if Tom was committed after 5/7 pm Monday his official 72 hours didn't start until Tues.
