This behavioral study conducted by Franklin Templeton and Gallup has been out for nearly a month, but is not being covered. Why is that? It is a scathing indictment of media and politicians pushing fear over facts.

So basically this would never have gotten the response it got if it wasn't for it being election year in the US.
Millenial americans on social media doomed us all to own orange man

Yeah, I'm sure this will get those people to suddenly love masks instead of hating them and their advocates even more.

They might be more tolerant of masks if you'd stop treating them like children and creating more dumbass mandates.

But they disagree with us. US! WE WUV DA SCIENCE! Not like those stupid rednecks who don't listen to the glorious science-priests, like Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson and all the others that agree with us leftists in lockstep. Clearly that makes us better than them, and the only ones who are capable of having an opinion on matters. Yes, it affects their lives too, but we're adherents of the Science-Priesthood, and thus we should make decisions and they should just listen to our holy testimony.

Has anybody worked on an estimate for the real death toll and case numbers in China? Their reporting is obviously bullshit, and with the second wave in Europe officially underway I'm curious what insiders are saying about a country that insists the virus has been eradicated there (a feat only temporarily shared by New Zealand).

Having people wear masks in restaurants until they sit and eat, then put the masks back on when they're done is just like having the smoking section right next to the nonsmoking section in the same open room. You will not change my mind on this, don't bother trying.

I just love too how the biggest maskfags I know are all about The Science when it comes to COVID-19, but if you try to show them any legitimate scientific research that does not confirm their bias, they dismiss it because that's what Drumpf would say and science has proven he is always wrong so this research is garbage, no need to read.

The corona was an important event in human evolution as it gave rise to two distinct subspecies. Those that welcome the hivemind and need to live under heavy rules to feel safe, and those who are freedom loving patriots able to make their own decisions. We really shouldn't be living together in the same country much less cross breeding, that path is only more suffering because both species cannot be happy living under the rules of the other.

So what's the actual death rate to infection rate? What age and or demographics are dying? I needs facts not feelings people

In NYC, including asymptomatic cases, 0.86%. https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3590771

US-wide, symptomatic cases only, 1.3%. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32379502/

In Switzerland, 0.32%. It's essentially zero until you hit age 50-64 (0.14%), then you enter the death zone at 65 (5.6%). https://www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(20)30584-3/fulltext

It hits people living in nursing homes hardest, and also people with multiple lifestyle diseases. That's why the US rate is terrible, we're all fat and the idiots in charge refused to protect our elders. (Sorry, I got a feeling in your facts.)

See https://swprs.org/studies-on-covid-19-lethality/ for an overview of many countries with links to studies.

I went to a bar last Friday night.

Nobody except the servers were wearing the masks, and even they had them half down and pulled them down when talking to customers.

I made a few friends there and we were doing stuff like fist bumping, trying to pick up girls, ect. Everyone was happy.

It felt great. It made me remember what life is all about and helped me realize how bullshit this whole thing is.

Between that and reading this thread I can’t believe I let myself get nervous over whether or not people were wearing their masks properly. This whole thing really was just an opportunity for people to impose their will on others and I’m sick of it.

Uhoh ppl are pulling out of our schools that refuse to open.

Thousands of students are leaving Anchorage schools, and it could mean a loss of millions of dollars in revenue this year for the district, according to administrators.
The Anchorage School District could face, at a maximum, a $30.1 million decrease in revenue this fiscal year due to the “significant” decline in enrollment, according to a presentation Tuesday by chief financial officer Jim Anderson to the school board’s finance committee. But it is impossible to know what the deficit will actually be until later in the year, he said.

Normally I would say that once they realize it's hurting the pocket book they will stop with the crazy dumb policies causing this. But I bet they will double own and hope the state and/or feds bail them out instead. A lot of the shutdown nonsense is predicated on bailouts from above, but they don't realize there isn't enough money to bail out everyone... that's not how a sustainable government works. Maybe that's the point?

I know I am. I was only sending her for socialization but now my tax dollars do not even get me that. I am lucky to have the option to do so. Many cannot. One of my friends is a teacher. In her rural district, 30% of students have no internet. This is working out great for them.

What's the plan now, if you don't mind me asking?

Homeschooling until at least school is in person again. They had a hybrid option, which we were barely willing to accept, but then they were cucked out of it by Governor Dumbfuck and his Superintendent. There are plenty of excellent curriculums you can buy online that have not been pozzed.

I always get emails from clothing brands showing their new face mask offerings, so it probably isn't going away anytime soon.

I just hope they don't keep requiring it year after year. If people want to voluntarily wear them -- fine -- but don't force it on everybody.

Funny that you mentioned boomers, most of the boomers that I have encountered seemed to care a lot less about this shit than the younger ones, my guess is that modern technology hasn't infected their brains that much.
Younger generations also seem much more amenable to centralized power and doing what they're told for "public safety".

I mean you have the whole phenomena of people following internet celebrities, giving them money and attacking other people when asked.

It's really fucking creepy when you think about it. How the fuck did we even get to this point?

Forsaking God, destruction of the family, replacing all human bonds with parasocial relationships.

I mean, when you read the comments of a K-pop video and it says "We need 100M views for our boys, fighting!" or a Red Letter Media video and it says "Time to pretend I have friends for an hour" you know we're lost.
