I'm insanely annoyed when reading/watching/playing something and being blatantly told and reminded constantly who and why is the bad guy. I remember when that was done by applying the "Show don't tell" rule. But considering the amount of reality bending and especially double standards the left has to engage in in order to function I guess that showing some characters doing some things without blatantly explaining "Dis bad, mkay?" might have an effect opposite to the one desired.
