guys this might seem like a really retarded question but maybe someone can help me understand.
What's up with Chris's body type? He has a fat middle, but his legs and arms seem to be smaller than the rest of his gorged up body. He looks kinda similar to those starving Ethiopian kids with distended stomachs. Would his diet of unhealthy foods make him look like this?
Not a nutritionist, but Chris has the genetics for an Apple body. (See also: Barb) All his body fat is stored on his “Buddha belly”.
On top of that, Chris diet is high in sugars and fats, instead of protein that promotes muscle growth.
The biggest factor is undoubtedly Chris’s extremely sedentary lifestyle. He has admitted to spending a few hours every day “meditating” while playing Tetris.
If you spend 16+ hours a day sitting, laying, watching vidya and daydreaming with an occasional walk (which, while burning calories, hardly promotes muscle growth) this is the kind of body you’re likely to get: An orange with four straws sticking out.
Edit: Forgot to add: Chris has also fucked up his body with female hormones. While the long term effects of this in males aren’t 100% established, none of them are good: Fucks with the heart, changes fat redistribution, moobs, etc.
