For the most part people fail to realize how important maintaining healthy boundaries is to their overall contentedness in life. I'd guess all of us have made mistakes like this along the way. But at a certain point, if the company your friends keep doesn't matter to you, you probably have low self-esteem and think you need all the friends you can get.
