Also, apparently that clip of Geoff having to prostrate himself for not being as “woke” as he should is gaining some traction on Twitter, and I just feel really bad for Geoff that this is the shit he has to do now for the job. Don’t get me wrong, I completely get people mocking him for it but like...fuck, I just feel sorry for the guy that he had to be apparently guilted that hard.

IIRC, Gavin is relying on security systems for protection from nutjobs.
So he is still a stupid cuck then. Security systems at best deter attackers, but often if the attacker is motivated enough they can find ways around them or just go right through them. It takes several minutes for even the fastest police response and a lot can happen in that time.

People got pissy at Joel for everything in the last 4 years despite him being right. Its why the company shuttered him away from the public and eventually, more or less, forced him to leave.

Yeah Joel told him to get a gun, and gav being a pissy Brit disregarded his advice entirely and got really angry at him.
I feel sorry for Joel. He's funny, talented, and seems like a great guy, but he had the misfortune of being the sole person with right wing views at RT. He was pretty much shuffled behind the scenes and ostracised for it after drumpf was elected, until they unceremonuously fired him. Like they don't even mention him anymore when they talk about the early days of the company.

RT is a rounding error to Warner, much less the lumbering leviathan that is AT&T. Media companies fold subsidiaries all the time when they underperform. I don't think RT would will sink to a spectacular disaster, just their parent company running the numbers and restructuring. Absolutely nothing about Rooster Teeth is irreplaceable.

I get that, and stuff I've heard about RT's part in HBO Max could be them trying to get a return on the investment of Gen Lock. Honestly, you see anything of RT surviving a restructuring? I honestly think the podcasts are the first ones to face the firing squad.
Because they were a small Internet company dicking around in Halo, they made shows that didn't blow the bank or exceed their skill levels, and Warner/AT&T haven't given them much sleepless nights to the point where they have to come in and sort things out themselves.
