To paraphrase @Jaimas, gaming was meant to be a large, but easy target. The most popular and profitable medium in the world, populated entirely by loser neckbeard nerds. It should've been the easiest hill to take, and give them the widest reach. They not only lost, they got btfo'd despite calling in every favour and big gun they had.
Another reason I think they want to push progressive ideas in gaming is they're trying to have their watershed moment. It's a race to go down in history along with that Star Trek episode that had the first interracial kiss on TV, or the Ripley in Aliens making strong female protagonists popular. Of course, most of that stuff has been done in games, leaving them with nothing to do but pretend old games didn't exist or dismiss them as illegitimate.
The con is too far along and the people involved have no transferable skills. Take any random ResetEra member, put them into any other industry, and see how much influence they have. On ResetEra they have the ear of

Well since a lot of these 'Mature' rated video games are very popular among kids (I'm sure most people here have seen young boys playing 'Call of Duty' and 'Grand Theft Auto') then just imagine that a video game may red pill an entire generation of young gamers on why communism sucks anyway.

Well regardless of what happens, one thing is for sure, thanks to this video game, Yuri Bezmenov will be part of the political mainstream and it's because that up until now, he used to be popular only among libertarian and right-wing circles because of his warning about the dangers of communism and in this political climate a lot of people (especially the younger generation) need to hear his words now more than ever.
So in times of uncertainty, people need to hear the truth then.

Hello everyone, I wanted to get out and address this head on since certain hate groups have been trying to weaponize posts I made years ago back on another site. I do feel I need to explain that many of the screens I've seen have been taken out of context or framed in a way to make my intent...
And now we go back to the "gamers".
The whole topic is crying and screaming for bans for anyone that tells these people to stop giving up in life the second something is "hard".
