Well, if you go by religious texts, even Jewish ones allow marriage at a very early age. The Talmud even talks about marriage contracts only being valid if the girl is at least 3 years of age. Mary was very young when she got married. Mohammed married a 9 year old. You can argue that modern followers reject those parts of religion (most do), but it certainly exists in the literature. But, Jews are generally the ones making the decisions in entertainment and they run the porn industry. So, it really isn't a wonder that they are the ones who get pointed at the most because they are the ones deciding whether or not something like Cuties ever gets screened.

Speaking of which, notice how weird their fucking expressions are on the Netflix poster. They're not acting happy or cute or pretend-sexy, they just have these awkward, exasperated faces while posing, which makes it all feel even more disturbing. Like they're being directed off-screen to do something which they don't fully understand and are not comfortable with, which they are.

Also, ever read the novel Flicker by Theodore Roszak? Hollywood has always been the glamorous city of the damned, it's called "Lost Angels" after all, but they've been severely lacking in the glamour in recent years.

Something dawned on me with this whole thing with Netflix.

Someone at Netflix greenlit this film.
Someone else at Netflix decided "yes, this is the best way to market this film."
Yet another person at Neflix decided "yes, this is how we want our promotional materials to look."
Still one more declined to raise a single goddamn complaint about this marketing campaign.

Any one of these is a hilarious fuck-up, but all of them together demonstrate what I can only describe as a comedy of errors.
