The bulk of normal people who think this is insane aren't necessarily just sitting in their house getting smashed. They're discussing critical thinking with their children and seriously considering the pros and cons of homeschooling. They're rethinking what a good proximity to a major city actually is. They're subtly probing their remaining friends for any sign of intelligence or sentience on what's actually happening (the major stink about 'dogwhistles' happened right before this for a reason). And frankly, mostly, normal people are just acting normal and having kids and teaching their kids right and wrong, like they always have for most of normal times.

This all feels really alien and strange to us because we're not used to processing this much information about this many people across this much of a scale. Especially at this breakneck speed. But that rapid pace is just the newest facet of a cycle that's happened countless times in human history. Humans get lazy and spoiled, lazy spoiled humans make up insane rules, shit falls apart, normal humans who had happy healthy families get old, hand down their favorite weapons to their favorite kids and whisper "Watch out for those weird fuckers, they do this shit every now and then".

I honestly can't remember where I first heard it, but it's not my line: "The most rebellious thing you can do right now is start a family and keep them safe." Find a partner who agrees with you about the big picture. Have as many babies as you think you can personally handle. And teach them, from the bare basics, how to identify and carefully disengage from morons who will consume their life. If you're playing on hardcore mode then buy each new baby you made a gun that you'll donate to them someday, but that one's optional.

But never feel like it's all pointless. They want you to feel that way, that's the newest attack. Because if you give up they don't even have to fight. Make them fight. They aren't good at it.

Homeschooling probably won't be legal for much longer, for the exact reasons you gave. You will be demonized as a fundie racist sexist white supremacist and probably have your kids forcibly taken from you for trying.

Homeschoolers are already demonized as fundie racist sexist. The general consensus among any group is that homeschooled kids are weird and will never be able to function in the modern world and it's been that way for many decades. We're already the pariahs.

We still get to homeschool our kids.

There are very very few things that will kick off the Real Big Boogaloo. Forcibly stripping children from defensive homes is on the short list.

I really can't tell if these people are true believers, actually thinking they are rallying these quite neighborhoods to a revolutionary cause, or super cynical and they know they are just attempting a narrative and to create propaganda scenes.

I really doubt 3.4% of the country is anywhere near sufficient for that, assuming 100% of home schooling families rebel. The rest will say "it's not my problem, i'm not a crazy fundie etc etc"

Cannon Hinnant, a five year old child, had nothing to do with BLM protests. He was a literal child that was mercilessly executed by a man for riding on his lawn. Let that sink in. An adult shot a child in cold blood for riding on somebody's lawn.

Not only did this not get any media attention, but somehow this is used as political leverage against Brenna Taylor when the two have nothing to do with each other.

You'd think a man killing a kid would outrage ANYBODY, no questions asked. Nope, I've seen people compare the two incidents unfairly. It's quite disgusting.

They don't care about children at all. Not even their own.

3.4% of the country is over 11 million people. That's more than enough to grind the attempts of the government to force compliance to a halt. Courts couldn't handle all the cases. Police couldn't successfully enforce it, and most of them wouldn't want to anyway. Too many people and not enough willing G-Men. Especially once they started getting shot at on a fair proportion of their homeschooling raids. People would just ignore the law. Then you've gotta send cops to try to make them obey. Trying to forcibly take people's children, whether it be off to public school for the day, or to CPS, and maybe also trying to take the parents to jail, over homeschooling... far too many people would absolutely lose it and grab for their guns.

What's worse is that on their side whites are constantly asked to prove themselves, to bray the right words, to shield the criminals, etc and are castigated with even the slightest percieved failing... Look at that troon getting her ass beat that lead to the truck driver beat down... All she was doing was intervening on a very aggressive male threatening a woman, that's the instigating factor. POCs on the other side are accepted with open arms, and welcomed. And it's not even an optics thing. You think the people labeled by every media outlet as nazis give a shit about optics??
