ValiDate - an upcoming (and unsurprisingly racist) visual novel made by SJW's, for SJW's. Currently MIA.

Is it normal for a VN team to fucking interview themselves?
It's normal for someone to site their inspiration behind their work, but they usually don't go full autismo and think their work is awe-inspiring and groundbreaking.
Also, It bothers the fuck out of me when Zo keeps switching the pronouns she wants to use for Anoki. Anoki's a she one second, a he the other, and a "they" the next. Pick one, not scramble all the pronouns and neopronouns you can possibly shove into the character.

The game isn't even out yet and they talk about it like it's already made a huge cultural impact that demands interviews like this. It's just self-serving. These people maybe have had 3 original thoughts for this game and somehow generated hours of content around it. You can show me these walls of text and to me they read like: "I'm diverse. A lot of people tell me, hey, you're really unique. And I think that's right - I AM really unique, and I'm not afraid to show the world who I really am, which is a diverse person with a unique background. At first maybe you think I'm quirky, but really? I'm thoughtful, unique, and most of all, diverse. People are always saying these things, and for once I have to agree. Showing the world who you really are is tough, especially in the current climate, but I have to say that now more than ever I feel sound in showing everyone my true, unique, and diverse colors."

If you've read one thing from them, you've read it all. It's so lazy.

malik stuff
Still remains the best of the cast- dude is just making the best of everything that comes and is conflicted on what someone is supposed to be on meeting that... thing.
But holy shit, the forced 'question my sexuality' scene on him. Poor Malik doesn't deserve that.

All the fanart on Rocky (lighting scar guy) so far make him look like he would be a happy-go-lucky flamboyant man ala Ruby Rhod from The Fifth Element. I'm going to be dissappointed if he was some screeching guy in-game. It didn't help that he looks normal like Malik and the recently-revealed white/Italian(?) guy, just with a fashion sense (which again brings to mind of Ruby, and also Ash from KOF, flamboyant men that prefers having a fashion sense).

I hate how one of the writers uses the character's zodiac sign to describe their personality.
I can see how it can be a good "start" to writing a character if you can't come up with anything for their personality, but what I would do is write out the character's personality first and then find the closest zodiac or whatever that they can relate to.
This is so they seem more natural, even if they relate to a silly concept, their character isn't just "zodiac".
Lazy writers slap some random zodiac to their characters and base their entire personality and character around said zodiac.

It's some form of narcissism and autism. They think they're soooooo important for talking about topics like this, yet in reality they're really saying nothing.

We have interviews from the writers!

If the favorite part of your character design is their chola-style earrings, have you really succeeded? Also LMAO about "not claiming chola culture for herself", as if you needed anyone's permission to wear hoop earrings.

But despite having such "diverse" backgrounds, these people really don't seem to actually have a lot to say. Which would be sad if we didn't know that already.

This bitch really believes every Mexican woman out there that wears hoop earrings does it as a culture thing rather than thinking it looks nice.

"Cholos" are a more or less a denomination for Mexicans who migrated and still find their identity at their roots; it's about cultural resistance and not losing sight of where you came from. Fashion choices have nothing to do with it because all of latin-america wears the same clothes as all of you; unless someone makes a point of wearing traditional shit, all you'll be seeing is whatever people find fashionable in current year.

It's such a first world thing to say. It really shows that these people only work from the stereotypes they have around them and don't know what they are talking about. It reeks of a "latinxxxx culture 💅💅💅" ass bitch. Having puerto-rican blood doesn't make you less of a clueless, LARPing gringo in my eyes.

What is it with SJWs and fucking astrology anyhow.

Googling "astrology feminism" brings up loads of pouts from the usual suspects about how it's ackchually empowering and conscious. Why spend so much time tearing down something that brings positivity into the world, they sniff.

(Then in the next breath go full fedora-wearing euphoric neckbeard on religion, despite having inspired people to bring vast amounts positivity into the world regardless of its flaws.)

Maybe it's because, like white privilege, systemic racism, it not being their duty to educate you, emotional labour, lived experiences as the gospel, and some women having penises, it's a dogma that can be dressed up to baffle you with bullshit while also being full of enough escape hatches to make criticism sound wrong or insecure or misconceived.

German/Puerto Rican.

I'm calling bullshit. I'm betting more like generic Amerimutt. There might be German mixed in there, but also Emglish/French/Polish/Irish, which ended up with a German last name due to marriage traditions. Same thing on the Puerto Rican side. I'd bet they're 90%+ miscellaneous Euro.

Pure bred Ayran German who fled to Puerto Rico to avoid the rope after the war, then his children went native and married Puerto Rican nationalists breaking both family's racial purity in favor of their ideological purity. She couldn't bare to dilute her proud bloodline any further thus chose to become a lesbian to avoid the issue entirely.

It could happen.
