Trump winning a second term is the thing that will change the tide not because of what Trump will do, but because of what the leftists and neoliberals seem to think he will do. That's a dangerous situation for the people at the top. The ruling class aren't subject to laws, that's for the peasants. The ruling class is supposed to retire from their job with a big fat paycheck at worst.

I'm not fully sure what to make of Cruz, when I see him speak in the senate, it's like he's trying to convince the Democratic senators by still saying the death of George Floyd was a senseless killing. The legal use case for a gun is very limited. It's usually better to be robbed or suffer a minor battery than pull a gun. and germany's pirate party stopped being relevant a good 10 years ago. they got a few parliament seats back then when people were briefly conerned with internet privacy, but that was long ago and they have since lost those seats. for all intents and purposes the party is defunct, and has been for quite a while.

As optimistic as it is this would ever pass, the bigger question is how many of the people living in these cities are based enough to file a suit and risk making their identities known in areas where protestors, their supporters, and NLG mouthpieces all have no qualms using social media to either dox them or organize targeted harassment against them (or both).

Edit to add: On tonight's news, it was reported there were 42 arrests made in the overnight protests in Detroit. Half the people were reportedly from outside the city. Even the WDIV reporter who was on scene during the protest admitted that the police gave multiple commands to leave before they started making the arrests.
