That doesn't sound physically possible. NEW YORK? He couldn't have meant upstate New York either since they trend red anyway.
In 2016 Hillary got 59% of the vote, and Trump 36%. That's a 23% gap, so a 5% difference is really something.
Could it be related to how widely despised De Blasio is? Or maybe Cuomo's unscrupulousness?
And I get its an internal GOP poll, but consider this. Some stranger calls you and tells you they're with a polling company and they would like to know 1) Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, or Independent, and 2) If you're voting for Trump or Biden in November?
Are you gonna honestly tell the truth? How many people lie and say they're voting Biden on the off chance the caller is lying and is secretly some cancel culture warrior (or antifa) scouring the neighbourhood for enemies? Even if thats a paranoid take, you, as a Trump supporter, gain NOTHING from telling the truth.
So with that in mind, either the poll is bogus or it, along with most professional polls, aren't considering the 'shy Trump' effect.

Hopefully, the desire people in NYC have to end De Blasio will cause a major shift. However, the city makes the state as blue as an ocean. Would be nice to see NY turn red again in my lifetime, though.

I kinda half-joked with someone recently that equivalent exchange will need to occur in order to flip either California or New York red, which means Florida and/or Texas will have to flip blue in return.
But this is 2020, apparently the year of uncertainty and surprises. If it's not a complete 0% chance, I guess anything's possible.

I don't see New York ever being Red , but, I think a saner representative for all the Blue is going to have to evolve in response.
Especially if people they take for granted are getting angry enough with current leadership to cause the numbers to look "Bad" for an "in the bag" state. Trump getting 25% of the vote there wouldn't be close to a threat to not win the state, but strategists and pollsters and pundits with half a brain have to realize that if a quarter of Manhattan isn't voting for a Democrat... they're in serious trouble as a party.
More than anything, I just want saner Democrats, I wouldn't fret about them getting power if they DIDN'T all believe in out-there social justice insanity, contempt of the 1st and 2nd Amendments, open borders, no police and all thatkindofstufflikethaththere...
I merely disliked Clinton for being a 90's Democrat, but actively chafed under the liberal-progrssiveness of mid 00 Obama an co. as it was clear not only did they hate red America, they were actively trying to end it and were joking about how they'd do it.... openly.... because that was "the right side of history".
I'd like the blue politicians to go back to being "the opposition" and not "the enemy" and I can't consider that to be a possibility until they drop the globalist-socialist nonsense and start caring about people, or failing that, supporting policies that focus on making life better for Americans for their social-tinkering fix instead of actively trying to replace/eliminate huge swaths of said population for not passing their social-purity checks and being too independent to just vote for them again and again for gibs. Essentially "not what we wanted in an electorate, send it back and get me a better one, in a different color too".
At least ol Bill said "I feel your pain" when confronted with unemployed middle-class people in Iowa, Obama told them "Well, that's the new normal, you're just obsolete now, sorry" and Hillary said "Coal miners? YOU'RE NEXT!"
Everyone would benefit from a Democrat that at least will waste taxpayer money on actual Americans before Mexicans.

I actually just discovered his channel yesterday, and sat through the whole video of him riding through Manhattan. It's been years since I've been to NYC (thank fucking god), but it was pretty eye opening to see it so dead and isolated.

The sad state of things there is that NY politics are racial politics. The political machine is owned by the Jewish mafia and even ethnic neighborhoods usually have their candidates appointed by kingmakers from the regional DNC in partnership with the ADL. His outrage seems a bit hysterical but I get it. From a rhetorical point of view, electing Biden means validating his take on Charlottesville. It also validates the left-wing 'words are violence' pathology. For weeks, Scott Adams opposed the riots, primarily because they're unproductive, directionless, but also fosters a really toxic culture. In the current political climate, if somebody calls you racist, then it gives everybody else the right to attack you, destroy your social life, career, physically harm you, whichever front they can. Scott's seeing Biden's take on Charlottesville and realises if its validated, his life is basically over.
Because he's been subtly pushing back on the 'fine people' narrative since the day the media crafted it, it means Biden winning will make him a pariah. Can't wait to see how it culminates.

Suffolk County is not really a Dem stronghold. Even if they voted for Obama. Historically it goes Red more than Blue at the local level. And will swing to either party for the Presidential Candidate. It’s also the place that has been on the frontline in the ?Immigration debate. A large cluster of Illegal El Salvadoran MS13 gang bangers moved in and took over a chunk of the South Shore of a Suffolk, A traditionally Puerto Rican community. recruiting and variously raping and murdering children. Obama/Biden did nothing and let it happen. Trump has been effectively rolling up the MS13 Terrorists. Nassau and Suffolk are probably the two highest population non NYC Counties in the State. If Trump flips the state red, it starts there.
