Keep in mind Elijah McClain didn't commit any crime, they stopped him for being "suspicious", the guy is like 140lbs soaking wet, choke him unconscious, then inject him with 500mg of Ketamine, he vomits. Then dies somewhere between there and the hospital.

There's no part of his arrest that isn't a shit show, then one of the officers comes back to take this photo.

I'm not advocating violence, but taking your fight to the officers makes infinately more sense than burning down random businesses and blocking the street.

If you go the route of a expired vest (stock made of steel, ceramic, and kevlar ONLY) make sure its never worn surplus, kevlar degrades through physical use and not time. I use expired kevlar usually as part of the trauma pad with good non expired plates, the extra padding and spall protection is worth it when you can get a pair for less then $100

These cops do appear to be assholes, but Elijah McClain brought what happened upon himself. Yeah, wearing a ski mask at night in August is suspicious as fuck, plenty of reason to stop and question someone after being called by a neighborhood watch.

You can find legit retailers for companies like Hesco and Velocity Systems. OP Tactical, SKD Tac, AT Armor are all well established retailers who sell legit plates from companies with contracts. Expect 2 month lead times at a minimum.

Ah well, even better then. As I've never been trained in medicine, I shouldn't have trusted the reports it was a dose for a man heavier than him. I guess he was just really unlucky then. Still, the point stands that it wasn't the cops portion of the subduing that even killed him, so even if they were callous about a poor autist's death, that just makes them assholes, not murderers.

It would have to have been an injection, I'd guess since it was administered out on the field, and would probably be easier to give someone who is struggling a shot than set up an iv line.
