North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has fallen into a coma, a former South Korean official is claiming on the heels of reports that the northern leader has ceded over some of his power to his younger sister.

Chang Song-min, a former aide to late-South Korean president Kim Dae-jung, has alleged that the Hermit Kindom’s honcho has become seriously ill amid speculation about his limited public appearances this year, the Mirror reported.

“I assess him to be in a coma, but his life has not ended,” he told South Korean media.

The former aide added that the leader’s younger sister, Kim Yo Jong, was poised to help lead the country.

“A complete succession structure has not been formed, so Kim Yo-jong is being brought to the fore as the vacuum cannot be maintained for a prolonged period,” he said.

His claims come after South Korean spies revealed that the 33-year-old sibling now serves as his “de facto second-in-command,” though she has not been designated his successor.

In a closed-door meeting with lawmakers, the National Intelligence Service said the power shift partly seeks to “relieve (Kim’s) stress from his reign and avert culpability in the event of policy failure,” the Yonhap News Agency reported.

“Kim Yo Jong, the first vice department director of the Workers’ Party Central Committee, is steering overall state affairs based on the delegation,” the agency reportedly said.

Kim has only been seen in public a handful of times this year after rumors swirled that he was clinging to life in April due to a botched heart operation.

It's odd there's another health rumor but who knows maybe Kim's been dead for a while and NK has just been faking his appearances or maybe he was alright but something sudden has hit him and they've been forced to give her the reins of power albeit I could totally see a woman like her being pretty good at the political game as people tend to underestimate women until they're drinking a glass of poisoned wine and she's smiling over you as you die.

Un does have one living brother though but he reportedly isn't really interested in politics and prefers going to Eric Clampton concerts and playing guitar and lives quietly at his home, some rumors have said he may also be gay or bisexual at the least which would also probably disqualify him from rule in the eyes of the top party members.

Kim Jong-il also has at least one living brother Kim Pyong-il but for some reason he isn't very well liked by party officials in the country but he retired in North Korea last year after serving as a diplomat to several different countries and he also has another living brother but that brother will reportedly turn 100 years old this year so he's probably out of the running as leader.

If Un actually is in a coma or near death or already dead it'll be interesting to see how things shake out though, as besides them the only other family option seems to be the sister unless the military and party officials decide to put an end to the Kim dynasty before they allow themselves to be ruled by a woman.

leveraging the sister is likely the Norks attempt to prevent China installing a puppet. Keeping enough legitimacy with the peasants by having a Kim still in charge. It’s also speculated that the sister is being given a more prominent role in order to keep the blame off her brother when the kimchi hits the fan as the famone and economic collapse settle in. China is having food problems right now. Much of their agricultural land is underwater and the crops lost. Their pig farms have been wiped out by a swine flu, and there is something nasty in the chickens. And the Pacific neighbors are starting to get militarily aggressive about Chinese fishing fleets in their waters. The massive food shipments to NK stopped when Corona-Chan hit. They will not likely resume anytime soon asChina will not have the surplus to spare for at least the next two years. NK doesn’t have sufficient hard currency to source it elsewhere. And most non governmental relief agencies don’t like providing to them as they take any food aid and give it to the Army while the people still starve.

NK is good and truly fucked right now. Putting Lady Deathstrike in charge just seems par for the course.
