Yeah this. I for one would be perfectly okay with them taking "under god" out of the pledge and "in god we trust" off of the money, if it was being done out of honest desire for a secular government. But democrats don't care about that principle just like they don't care about any other principle or value they used to claim to believe in. The dems now only care about power, they had a priest or two at the DNC, they're perfectly okay with religion in government if it serves whatever their supposed "cause" is today.

I'd be ok with it except two things.
Firstly, as you described, it is not out of honest motivations. Its simply an attempt to destroy history and own those fucking Xtians to get them inline as second-class citizens.

Second, the fact that even if we were to take non-existance of God in the christian sense as a fact, that doesn't stop the human mind from being built to work under the assumption of a higher power. Even if its just an empty void, inbuilt Human perspective puts a god-shaped hole in the universe. God, Luck, Nature, Destiny, fate, 9th-dimensional vibrating strings.
Trying to ignore that just ends with even dumber shit like "The Secret" being invented to take the place of "God".
