Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

Want to know what we have heard about the Trumps?

Not. A. Word.

Not. One.
I've spoke with a good number of the Secret Service, especially around the impeachment proceedings. (Remember that? That was this year. Yeesh.)

Most of those I spoke to haven't worked with the family directly. Of those that did, obviously there's not a lot they could directly say (not that I pressed too terribly hard), but I got the sense that they generally enjoyed it.

One somewhat older officer said something that sticks out to me when I asked how he liked working for Trump: "it's respectable now". I'm certain he wasn't supposed to say that, at least not in that way.

All of that to say, I think it's entirely likely most of the "hired help" are happy with their positions. After all, both Donald and Melania are long since accustomed to affluence. It makes sense that they would know how to correctly interact with the worker bees.

If I might postulate a bit. I suspect that this relates to one of the reasons the left find Trump so enragingly baffling. Think about it for a bit:

We have a bloviating, self aggrandizing billionaire, born with a silver spoon in his mouth. By any normal metric from the outside, the working class should -hate- him.

Yet, they don't. In fact, they embrace him eagerly in droves.

I think a lot of it comes down to Trump retaining something a lot of his moneyed peers did not. He remembers the worth of a dollar. He can connect across class because while he has never been in their rung of society, he has retained an understanding of an individual dollars worth and how little it can stretch. So when he speaks, its in a language both can agree to. Unlike saaay, Romney, who makes 10K bets as if it were a fiver. Or Hillary Clinton, totally disconnecting from the working classes trials and travails.

It fucking sickens me when they go after Melania. She seems like a sweet gal, and she's a foreign woman who became first lady, that's pretty sweet. But you know she's on the wrong side of history, so they have to make fun of her accent, being a foreign woman, can't English properly, and say Michelle was prettier.
I don't care about Michelle or Melania. The last great First Lady this country has gotten was Laura Bush.

So has Twitter bitched about going to Mars yet? Eric Trump mentioned it in his speech.

I'm expecting a lot of anti-science and suddenly deciding that the government doesn't need to be paying for the space program. That and people who watched a Matt Damon movie suddenly deciding they're specialists in interplanetary colonization.

Melania is speaking at the Rose Garden right now.

e: they're gonna shit on her for her accent. If they haven't already.

They are the crowd of "I FUCKING LOVE SCIENCE" and watch "Rick and Morty" and "The Big Bang Theory"

So she never actually practiced law like Ben Shapiro (or at least so he claims which is ridiculously odd considering he studied political science not law).
Ben Shapiro claims to be a laywer? Sheesh. I thought he was busy talking about his wife being a doctor.
