I know. I was referencing the ADL's opinion on Antifa to argue against the notion that they're considered an anti-zionist org by the people most butthurt by even the slightest anti-zionist actions or stance.
From my own personal speculation, I get the impression that the ADL is embroiled in an internal struggle within the organization between the younger cosmopolitan dilettantes who hate Israel and are more globalist and leftist and the "Old Guard" of the ADL's upper-level management who are genuine Zionists and are typically Boomers and Generation X'ers as opposed to Millennials and Early Zoomers.
This is mostly just some speculation on my part based on the rather schizophrenic statements they've made regarding Antifa and communism. Communism is probably the only ideology that's killed more Jews than Nazism, even if Karl Marx had a ethnically Jewish dad (who became Lutheran before Marx was born) and there's also the "Commies vs. Zionists" divide over the Israel/Palestine debate.
The SPLC went through a similar internal coup that led to Morris Dees and Richard Cohen being forcibly excommunicated and left Mark Potok impotent and powerless within the group.
There's also the issue that Antifa was largely nonexistent in the United States outside of the punk scene in a few specific cities prior to 2016 and in all the hype over "muh Nazis", I doubt anyone in the ADL ever seriously considered the possibility of Antifa and BLM boomeranging on them until very recently.
Antifa is explicitly anti-Zionist, even if the ADL hasn't completely realized it just yet.
