Technically, pedophilia is not a crime in the same way having murderous impulses is not a crime. But "pedophile" is basically a synonym for "rapes kids" or at the very least "jerks it to CP" so that's where the confusion would come from.
It's a problem in court because one can argue "no your honor, my client implied the plaintiff is sexually attracted to children, not that he has ever committed a crime against children." On the other hand, many defamation laws have wording about accusing someone of being of low morals or having a disease (pedophilia is classified as a mental illness). I'm not sure how accusing someone of being a pedophile and that person suffering provable damages from it wouldn't fall under defamation.
I don't think Ron has the ability to cause Vic any more damages than he already has, meaning another lawsuit would be almost impossible. But knowing Ron, this dumbass could win everything in this case and he'd still be so assmad that people supported Vic and kept calling him a cuck that he'd probably keep ringing up conventions or anywhere else that Vic was at demanding they drop Vic for being a pedophile and a rapist. In fact, that's probably exactly what's going to happen since unless he gets his ass reamed in court or finds a new target he's going to keep harassing Vic and end up giving Vic a few more causes of action to sue him for.
Wouldn't be surprised if this ends up in Vic getting a restraining order on Ron or Ron being arrested for criminal harassment. You can hear this psycho right now. "What, I won, 36 and 0 SQUAAAAAAWK, why are people still turning out to see Vic and why are his fans still calling me a cuck and a wife beater? And why is my lawyer J. Sean driving around in a brand new Audi? That's mine!"
