If this has proven anything, it's that western "leftists" and liberals will openly simp for pedophiles and serial abusers as long as they are "on their side" and really it's a huge propaganda victory for the American right. This continued escalation of force I would say will not end well for the "protest" crowd. If y'all think Kyle is the last dude that's gonna pop these dudes with surprising effectiveness, you're willfully ignorant or just incredibly naive.
Part of the reason why I think the political pendulum will swing back and it will swing back hard in the future.
The "right side of history" is standing shoulder to shoulder with looters and arsonists, to moan over the death of a career criminal, who was shot by police for a very good reason. On the other political end, you have people who mainly are violent when they defend a place or person, who do not chase people down and dogpile them like monkies.
And inbetween, you have a shitton of normies who watch their workplaces and their property get burned, they watch public property get destroyed, and if they don't play along, they get attacked like that 70 year old guy, who got his jaw broken.
All the political right has to do is to remind people of this fact. The press is effective at sweeping this under the rug, but places on the internet keep that knowledge alive. It spreads in memes and on imageboard, in forums and comment sections. And the funny thing is: By demanding more and more moral and ethical purity on Mainstream sites like Resetera and Reddit, all they do is push normies onto websites that are less policed in tone and content.
I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes the springboard for Trump to get reelected. Bush Jr. stayed in power due to a war with an outside thread, I think Trump will have an easy time arguing that he must remain in power to fight the inside threat and the longer these Antifa and BLM shitheads loot their way through the USA, the easier it gets to spot even for normies who that inside threat is.
I'm just wondering, when the pendulum swings back, what will we see when it hits the far side? Zero-Tolerance crackdowns against gang violence in black communities would be a nice start. A discourse on "critical blackness" is overdue.
Exactly right. It is like genealogy: go back a few generations and you're all happy that you're descended from someone famous -- until you do the arithmetic and find that at that level you have tens of thousands of gggggggggggggrandparents. It is a fact that everyone in the western world is descended from Charlemagne. By the time you are that far back, the number of your ancestors exceeds the number of people in the world, and you discover that you're descended from each of them multiple, dozens, of ways, and you realize that you're not so special after all.

As much enthusiasm as the police is displaying here, their tactics in using a shieldwall are subpar, tbh. They could have easily flanked the rioters and attacked their back, also their completely lose formation during their attack is an issue. The key to a well-kept shieldwall is to keep formation and approaching at a leisurely pace and then picking up momentum at the last few metres.
I wonder if we'll see counter-protesters arming with shields and doing battle with rioters. Shit would be cash.
