According to a gaggle of salty redditors, this is wildly illegal due to Hatch Laws(? idk I've never heard of that before). Apparently, t's illegal to have campaign events at the White House, however the Prez and VP are exempt, but any other staffers who worked on this might be breaking the law, and Blonald Blumpf should be impeached again? If I got this wrong, plz explain, I'm shaky on the details of what this apparently means. Frankly, I don't see what the problem is with a Prez up for reelection holding an event at the White House, regardless of who it is, and I don't really get why a bunch of reddit spergs are telling me I should be mad, other than because orange man bad

To me, that seemed fake. The cynical part of me doesn't trust these tweets either. I remember Glenn going hysterical, covering his face in cheeto dust, and saying Hillary was the only option. Idk

Couldn't agree more, really. I'm extremely tired of the constant hyperbolic comparisons. If Trump was even an eighth of the fascist people make him out to be, these people wouldn't be able to scream it on the airwaves 24/7, or else they'd be hauled off by the Secret Service for "questioning" and never be heard from again.

Edit: I believe we can all agree here that the media was pro-Obama. However the Republicans betweem 2016 and 2008 were only good for cockblocking Obama and called him Hitler and all the other buzzwords. Glenn Beck back then was full lolcow and entertaining on Fox. Mitch McConnell declared his intention to make Obama a one term president. And the Republicans failed spectacularly in 2012 despite Obama's glow was fading. Jon Stewart had lost his faith and Lewis Black considered Obama to be only remembered for being the first black president.
