Its been this bad for a while, what I think changed wasn't the polling. And that's the problem.

They were likely expecting a massive bump from getting the VP in and the DNC, and for the RNC to be a fizzle. None of that happened.

That's what they mean. They're blaming him for them "having" to cut those people out of their lives. Because obviously it wasn't their own choice, Trump forced them to do it.

If they were expecting Donald Trump, the man who hosted TWO Wrestlemanias and had a wildly popular TV show for years, to have a failing RNC sales pitch for his reelection, then they must be so far up their own asses they might be smelling their own belly buttons.
