dem and gop politicians have been shot in the last 5- 6 years.

no one cared.

when they start rioting in residential areas where regular people live, thats when the line is crossed and the pushback is going to be severe. by that point the government will have failed and its everyone for themselves. and im going to guess itll be like yugoslavia.

As an aspiring historian/librarian (I know, what a dork) demolishing statues makes me rage. If they keep them fully intact and put them in museums, sure I guess. But the casual damaging oh history both good (they have vandalized completely unrelated statues and memorials too) and bad worries me. I've seen one of the woke people on my social media post about how (insert historical figure that was totes evil and a colonizer) should be erased from history. Erased. Fuck that, that's not how it works.

Is it playing hero when the business owner asks you to?
Can't collaborate beyond Facebook chatter, but apparently the business owner was his grandfather, who supplied the gun. If true, then he never brought it over state lines, and was being watched by a relative until the police cut off his way to his grandfather, which was a bit irresponsible of them, since he was so young. He had wanted to return to the car dealership, but was unable to get there, where he was forced to be on his own and take out a mob who wanted to steal his gun.

Looks like a bunch of people face Federal charges for their actions in Portland. They won't have a district attorney who will let them go. Feds are a different breed.

More than 70 Face Federal Charges Amid Violence in Portland

Arson, damaging government property, and assaulting a federal officer are among the charges 74 people face for violence and mayhem committed in Portland, Ore., over the past three months, the Department of Justice announced Friday.

Federal authorities have arrested some 100 people in Portland since the end of May, as anti-police protests have regularly given way to what DOJ called "vandalism and destruction." Of those, 74 face federal felonies, misdemeanors, and citations. Hundreds more have been arrested by state and local law enforcement looking to reestablish order.
"Violent agitators have hijacked any semblance of First Amendment protected activity, engaging in violent criminal acts and destruction of public safety," U.S. attorney Billy J. Williams said. "The U.S. Attorney's Office and our federal law enforcement partners are expeditiously working with local and state law enforcement to identify, arrest, and prosecute these individuals that are disrupting the rule of law in our communities and physically attacking our law enforcement officers and destroying property. Violent agitators not only delay real reform, but make our community less safe by keeping law enforcement from responding to other critical calls for service."

More than half of those charged are alleged to have assaulted a federal officer—a crime that, DOJ noted, can lead to up to 20 years in prison if done with a dangerous weapon. A further four face arson charges, some tied to protests at the federal courthouse in Portland that protesters repeatedly assaulted over several nights earlier this month. Federal arson carries a maximum sentence of 20 years, with a mandatory minimum of five.

"While the FBI supports and safeguards constitutionally protected activity and civil rights, there is no permit for assault, arson or property damage and these are not victimless crimes," Renn Cannon, special agent in charge of the FBI in Oregon, said. "Among the victims of violent crime are business owners, residents and individuals exercising their First Amendment rights through protests or other legitimate forms of expression."

The ongoing unrest in Portland has made the city a flashpoint in the debate over the spike in looting and violent crime that was preceded by the onset of mass protests in at least some cities. President Donald Trump has called on the city to re-accept federal law enforcement after they initially withdrew from the city at the end of last month. Oregon governor Kate Brown (D.) on Tuesday said that "it's time for the violence and vandalism to end," specifically so "Portland can focus on the important work to be done to achieve real change for racial justice."

Was doing some thinking about all this while walking this morning.

First, BLM has done itself an incredible amount of damage. They held the moral high ground briefly, until the "protests" turned into riots and crime. BLM could have been the foremost proponent of non-violence, just like Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks. There's a reason these two people are in our history books.

Instead, BLM, joined by Antifa, has aided and abetted violence, arson, and looting. They continue to make outrageous demands they know will never be met. Their actions not only alienate mainstream Americans, but provide justification for any measures used against them. There's a reason so many consider Kyle Rittenhouse a hero.

BLM can no longer be taken seriously as an agent of change, which isn't good. All police departments, just like any other organization, can improve. Nonviolent engagement could have gotten some real things done. As things stand, there will be commissions, meetings, recommendations, a few token things will happen, then it's back to the previous state of affairs.

Complicit in this is the pussy-footing attitude of Democratic cities affected by violence. They have demonstrated to their people that they put the rioters' desire to raise havoc over the livelihoods and lives of the residents of the cities. This has backfired stupendously. People have had enough. Many will vote GOP in November. And for some reason you sure don't hear much "defund the police" these days. Even the enemies of America immediately called for the police after Kyle did his justice.

The "protests" and riots have set back race relations in our country greatly. Any "structural racism" will just be more covert, while still there. Still going to see employers discard resumes of people with unemployable names. Delete after seeing the name. Nothing the applicant can do about it.

One glimmer of hope in this whole mess - most people, white, black, Hispanic, Asian do get along. People of all colors work together and do business with each other. May not love each other, but the respect's there. And you see people of all colors risk their lives daily as police officers, firefighters, and in the military. BLM and Antifa don't add anything positive to America. If black lives matter, then why do BLM members keep showing everyone that they cannot act maturely enough to prove that black lives DO matter? The black people who show that black lives matter are those people who go to work every day, do the best they can, raise their families, and work in a nonviolent manner for change. That's easily respected. Same applies to every race. But BLM is a bunch of masochists. They keep disco dancing on it with golf shoes and believe anyone actually cares. They have lost the moral high ground, lost the narrative, and are on the wrong side of history.

One last bit of babble - the actions of BLM and Antifa are bacteria in the bloodstream of America. America has a tendency to take some antibiotics when there are too many bacteria. Kyle just administered the first dose. Can see more "treatments" coming up.
Thanks, Stalin. Your thoughts and info are appreciated, but please don't erase us from any records, alright?

I like the vidya-esque escalation of Kyle's journey.

I have a mutual friend who I play online games with that is still an enigma. He shares both super woke left memes but also more right leaning ones. Anytime someone comments in disagreement he basically goes "it's just a joke bro". I guess it's more of an attention thing, and I still have no idea how he truly thinks.

Also I have an idea of when things might be considered going "too far". At least with the normie majority. It may have already happened tbh, but things would get serious if a politician was seriously assaulted or even killed. Sure, we've had politicians deal with protesters screaming in their faces, or people going onto their properties. But have we actually had one get really hurt by rioters? Regardless of how you think about politicians, I don't think that will be taken lightly. But that's what crossed my mind recently, I doubt it's new and I can't say if it'd be effective or not. I don't know either.

Edit: I'm also not diminishing the importance of attacking normies in their neighborhoods. That's another major factor imo.
Some former Democrat staffer tried to assassinate the House GOP when they were playing baseball, and nearly got based Steve Scalise, the House Minority (at the time Majority) Whip. Nothing happened. Republicans were huge pussies about it and called for people to tone down their language in a slight to Trump and the base. They refused to punish the Democrats for it. Similarly, nothing was made of the attack and beating of Rand Paul a few years ago while he was mowing his lawn. Maybe they've learned their lesson, but I doubt it.
I said that I would never approve of vigilante justice but I wasn't sad that they were dead, and I was called a monster.
mentioning vigilante justice is poor framing. Self defense is better framing and has the advantage of being true in this case.

That would be interesting if the business he was volunteering for really is related to him. Literally working in and having family ties in Kenosha would be pretty invalidating to those people shouting "he wasn't supposed to be there!"

The concept sounds nice. In my short libertarian phase stuff like this had a ton of appeal to me; it still does. I agree that we should meet people where they are, which usually means no real abstract thinking aside from aspirational identity. I also try to live my life this way as much as is reasonable by involving myself in local clubs and some more palatable community class type activities. However, not engaging in politics strikes me as refusing to use a weapon that your enemy is using. When you don't fight for ground, the enemy takes it and keeps pushing. It strikes me as foolish to retort to "There's white supremacists killing people in Kenosha" with 'how does that affect you' because everything that comes from the political struggle going on will affect you be that tighter/loser gun control, defunded police, AsG biased against you, mayors/governors who refuse to enforce the law, affirmative action, media being unpleasant...
I havent figured out the tribe part. Basically you form a little posse you control and try inspire others do the same. When I say group I dont mean a social club. I mean a literal self sustaining political unit where people comply with the groups laws and leaders direction.

The end goal of these is create small personal support systems to wean people off mainstream market and need for government. This would starve various systems causing misery. The other end goal is if everyone form their own little group the end result would be a fragmenting of America in a similar manner as tribes fragmented a declining rome from bottom up. This would disrupt economic networks owned by a select few pushing this Marxist crap and reduce their power.

As for agorism it is playing policitcs. It just not in the traditional way. Its working in the grey market to starve groups who have a monopoly of wealth or power via economic networking on a personal level.

Both approaches are political tactics used to bring about change in a non violent yet defensive way but lacks a policital stance. Thats the saving grace. A bunch of sjws could form a little tribe as long they agree to the outcome. By focusing on tactics it allows me to work and organize with people who may disagree with my actual and unspoken stances but allows me to get things done none the less.

The destruction of statues also fills me with rage. I hate the loss of any bit of history or public art. I'd even like statues of the worst men saved, perhaps put in a museum.

p.s. You do know to be a librarian requires a Masters, after which you will be competing for a small and constantly dwindling number of not-great-paying jobs...?

Obviously. I'm about done with my bachelor's and next step is to become a library scientist. Cool name, though I will see how the prospects are with it after. I'm well aware of the possible difficulties. Might try museum work or archiving of history. Goodness knows that will be fucking important, if not very underappreciated, as time goes on.

I think they probably would have let him get in the car or at least continued wrestling with him if he didn't try and go for a knife (also maybe because there were kids in the car or something or is that fake)
The cops really were right on top of him during this shooting. If he was going for a knife then he could have quickedly stabbed them if he didn't get shot. I saw "Surviving Edged Weapons."

So my takeaway, Kyle is VERY well secured for legal representation.

Honestly didn't expect anything less, any right-leaning or merely opportunistic lawyer would salivate at such an easy case with such high publicity.
IDK. Nobody stood up for those proudboys, RAM, or James Fields. The latter 2 being obviously very different than the firmer, but even the public defender did an intentionally shit job for James Fields.
