Thomas Wictor wrote about that scenario once, before they nuked his original account off of the platform. I can't remember the exact wording, but the gist of it was essentially that if someone from the Left murdered Trump, they would have no idea what sort of Hell they would unleash. They might think Trump is bad, but Mike Pence is their worst nightmare. Pence would immediately assume authority, and he would become a horrifying beacon of righteous fury.
He didn't mean that in a particularly positive way, he meant that in the sense that Mike Pence, fueled by a desperate need to "
put these animals in their place" and restore the Fear of God would come down on this country like the Sword of fucking Damocles. Oh, we'd get
peace, the riots would stop, but it would cost us damned near everything in the process because Mike Pence would
demand order, no politician would
dare stand in the way due to the optics, and all of us would be so
pissed off that we'd let him do it.
The worst thing that the Left could ever do would be to flick the "on" switch for Mike Pence. That man is a
religious Terminator and we'd all get a Bible rammed so far up our asses that we'd be picking Psalms out of our teeth. A lot of people probably like that idea, and given how insane that a lot of these people have become I can
definitely see why, but I don't think that letting a Bible-fueled Cotton Hill go Deus Fucking Vult on all of us is a
particularly good idea.
I'm very glad that Trump's security detail is air-tight, because that doesn't sound like a fun scenario, to me.
