Team Obama, activate!

Left-wing Hollywood stars are rallying around Barack Obama as evidence mounts that the former president was involved in the failed take down Gen. Michael Flynn as well as a larger clandestine effort to derail the Trump presidency. President Donald Trump has repeatedly tweeted about a massive “Obamagate” scandal, saying that Obama and Joe Biden led the “most corrupt administration in U.S. history.”

“It was OBAMAGATE, and he and Sleepy Joe led the charge. The most corrupt administration in U.S. history!” the president tweeted on Monday.

Over the weekend, leaked audio footage emerged of Obama slamming Trump. The former president claimed that the Justice Department’s decision to abandon its prosecution of Flynn means that the “basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.” He also slammed President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Loyal left-wing Hollywood celebrities have begun circling the wagons around Obama, playing defense as the #Obamagate hashtag trended on Twitter on Monday. Prominent entertainment figures including Ava DuVernay, Barbra Streisand, Patricia Arquette, and Jeffrey Wright have leapt to the former president’s aid, eager to downplay the gravity of the brewing scandal.

Could this famous thing be upon us in the near future?

what did Ridley and boyega even do besides star wars? all i know is Attack on the block with Boyega (hoh and the terrible Pacific rim 2) Neither have a really stellar career. They should aim for smallers roles or small indie works but they dont seem to be either talented or passionate about anything.

I think Boyega goes well in English gangland type movies. On larger projects though....

Harrison Ford is the anomaly, he had some mild success with "American Graffiti", but right after Star Wars he starred in "Blade Runner" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark", that's a 1-2 punch that no other actor could replicate.

I saw that.......

Boy, Daisy, i'ts almost like that movie wasn't all that good......... and all the fawning from the media outlets wasn't sincere..... and the stuff the writers had you do, through blind socjus leanings and massively restrictive social bubbles, actually killed the franchise?

She's an incredibly bland actress so it's no surprise.

Hayden Christensen at least had Shattered Glass, will Daisy get her equivalent?
Christensen also had the benefit of being a good actor who was the victim of George's weird directing habits weird acting habits as he had some obsession with making him talk like a robot, in contrast to Ridley who just acts like one at all times and might actually be a robot.

Episodes 8 and 9 were so bad that Disney is looking to completely make them irrelevant by making a new trilogy set in a different reality, this time free of the SJW bullshit and OP Mary Sue characters. Kathleen Kennedy is on the way out and the Disney top brass is making it clear that the identity politics and alienation of fans will not be tolerated. "The customer is always right" is now Diseny's priority, which it should have been all along. Social Justice REALLY hurt Disney, and now they are embracing "Get Woke, Go Broke". Ridley was a big part of that, so she's going to have a harder time finding good roles.

Old EU books are supposed to be coming back into print. The original old EU books.

If they're set on doing a full fucking post ROTJ reset, this makes me wonder how mando Season 2 and 3 will fit into it.

But Hayden wasn't shilled by the media, he was mocked. In the past few years he's embraced the prequel memers and is pretty beloved by them, even if you're not a fan of his acting.
Ford is probably the only one who has to be convinced to do Star Wars films because of his success. between SW and Indiana jones he seems to have siphoned all the film career luck from everyone else.

Or maybe a few of them got a bit of an ego after starring in the series, and directors are leery of hiring them due to them making outrageous salary demands based on that.
I mean Mark Hammill probably would have had a bigger career but Carrie Fisher clawed his face over a brick of cocaine and the damage and facial reconstruction caused him to become The Joker.

At least that's how Mike Stoklasa tells it.

She has no tits and she isn't very good at acting, so what did she expect?
I'm sure someone has a use for a Rent-A-Center Emma Watson/Keira Knightley type.

Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher weren't fighting off producers desperate to give them big parts after ROTJ either.
Mark had a very good career post star wars and probably would have had a better one if he didn't focus on doing theater during and immediately after the Star Wars run.

Carrie had a career as well behind the camera but idk if that was because she couldn't get in front of it or if she didn't want to. She was self-admittedly crazy always on drugs(when she died they found coke in her body :( ) and she liked to eat. There can only be 1 fat women in Hollywood at a time and that rule was instituted after 2000. Before there were none.

Star Wars is sadly a career killer. Unless you have a steady filmography under your belt when you sign up then Star Wars is going to be the highlight of your career. Ewan McGregor almost didn't take the role because his uncle who played Wedge in the original films didn't want his career to suffer like his. Both Oscar Issacs and Adam Driver both had done some films and shows before they signed up for Star Wars and its part of the reason they're still getting work, they can be known for more than just "I was that guy in Star Wars".
Disagree wholeheartedly. Harrisons Ford first movie was American Graffiti, his second was Star Wars and that launched his career. The difference between him and Hamil was he continued to do movies while Hamil went on to play Mozart on Broadway and had a motorcycle accident that fucked up his boyish face. It isn't fair to blame Star Wars imo.

Natalie was bad and imo stopped caring to give a decent performance by Rots and everybody dragged on Hayden that after he got paid it's quite possible he didn't want or need to act. Idk if he's spoken on it but not every actor is passionate about acting. It's a way to make a lot of money and then do w/e you want to do. But he was a good actor in everything I've seen him in.

Christensen also had the benefit of being a good actor who was the victim of George's autistic directing habits as he had some obsession with making him talk like a robot, in contrast to Ridley who just acts like one at all times and might actually be a robot.
That wasn't George's idea. Hayden wanted to sound monotone to connect Anikan to the Vader in the OT.( No it doesn't make sense due to JEJ performance but w/e)

Edit: Wanted to add her problems finding work has way more to do with bad mouthing directors she worked with, her co star in AD and the fans who didn't like TLJ. Those things might play well on twitter but in the real world why would anyone choose to work with you after that? Boyega is having the same problem.

This will be the highlight of her entire acting career, she will be lucky to ever get a role that even remotely approaches that level ever again. She did the best she could do with the awful dialogue as well the fucking disaster of a plot in the Disney trilogy. I think she would of been better if she was a supporting character, opposed to the main protagonist. She just didn't have the range for that type of role and did not evolve beyond the force awakens. The clunky dialogue and weirdness was always characteristic of Star Wars films, but the problem with the newest trilogy was the interjection of the woke ideology. This is what happens when you alienate an entire demographic, at least with the prequels George focused on the 12 year old boy demographic that he focused on during the original films. Sure, people hated it, but at least there was some what of a semblance of originality involved. Daisy Ridley ended up getting a lemon of a role, too early in her career, and she seemed genuinely passionate about her role. Just a shame that the bull dyke feminazis and woke crowd yet again have remolded another iconic property in their bastardized image.

But what talents could she bring that would make her enticing towards projects anyways?

That’s another problem. There’s a glut of her type out there— self-serious British brunettes that are seemingly indistinguishable from one another. Felicity Jones, Claire Foy, Anya Taylor Joy, Lily Cole, Bel Powley, on and on.

> Adam Driver the "up and coming leading man of the decade"

Look, he's a fantastic actor. But he's just too funny-looking to get anywhere near that category.

> shitting on Anya Taylor Joy

Someone wants ta get cut! :jaceknife:

  • Agree
Reactions: Dang Woodchucks!
Elizabeth Olsen deleted her Instagram because fans kept messaging her about making a post about Chadwick's passing.

Crowd mentality is awful.

In regards to Daisy I can't really feel bad for her because not only does she have more money than any of us, but she also comes from privilege and wealth. Her dad i believe works for BBC.
I will never ever understand Adam Driver's success because he's so goddamn ugly.

All in all, she better share that memo to Margot Robbie.

She struck gold in "Wolf of Wall Street", and that's about it. The only movie she directed, "The Terminal" was a complete mess.

And the Harley Quinn movie bombed really fucking hard.

What other prospects does she have after she's done doing capeshit? slim to none. :story:

I mean... Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, I Tonya, Mary Queen of Scotts, Focus, and Bombshell.

Margot Robbie is fine until she hits 40 and she might still be good after that too.

I should mention
After Star Wars Carrie was in the nuthouse. Then she became a best selling novelist. Most people don't know this but she was also a scriptwriter and she doctored scripts. Hundreds of movies she worked on iirc

Carrie was an excellent script consultant from what I've heard. I also really loved her comedy, especially in her stories about Debbie Reynolds.
