Binging with Babish. He is the most "designed" channel, and, as I perceive it, meant to appeal as widely as possible to the quintessential hipster anti-hipster reddittor pop-culture afficionado. His cooking is pretty standard stuff, it's mostly his visual design (which is excellent. Simple but clearly well thought out) that makes him stand out.
Never seen a video of his that actually served to improve my cooking technique.

Mind you, not saying he is a bad channel or anything, I just think he is utterly unappealing if you're already a halfway decent cook and don't go in for his style of "humor" and are looking for substance rather than eye candy.

His channel was far better when it started and he didn’t try to go overboard in every little annoying way.

You can best see this in his “Easy Recipies” section, where one of his first is a pasta from Chef that only takes about half an hour (made it a couple times myself, it’s actually quite good), and by March 2018 it was “Today, for this easy recipe, we are making lasagna from scratch. I hope you already watched my other videos on making homemade pasta and ricotta, because you’ll need those!”

It used to be a fun channel before even the easiest of videos turned into multi-step processes that all take at least half a day minimum only for the prep work.

Failed beauty gurus/ makeup channels turned true crime reporters. Nothing is stranger to me then watching a 1hr long recap of a brutal child murder from a 40yo mom drinking wine infront of a live laugh love poster as hse sits in 'mommies quiet room'. if you've ever been over the home of someone with at least 3 kids, or been to a modern church with a seprate loud brat area and tv, then you know the space i mean.
Eleanor Neale gets close to that vibe for me at times, but she's fine

*i dont watch kid killer stuff, just an example

I remember watching a lady who sounded like she was speaking to a kindergarten class while talking about a horrible crime. It was extremely offputting.

I kinda grew up on murder shows like cold case, old law and order (svu is trash), and had a healthy interest in creating practical effects and fictional gore due to J. Carpenter so ive seen my share of medical pics and body trauma for research. I'm not a very squeamish person id say.
But there is something, wrong(?) about going over a hard crime like its sunday gossip or hot tea. I stick to older crime channels now like brief case or crime reel and that seems to help in avoiding the weirdness factor, or the same crime retelling that is a 3 parter for some reason, but a 20min video on another channel. (i am thinking about the lularoe(?) murder event with the kleptomaniac black chick who killed her coworker.)

In other news, starting to really dislike Dick Masterson for his really weird take on Cuties. And due to being starved for content I watched the Mr meat man expose vid again and for some reason there are new comments defending Mumkey Jones? I dropped Mumkey when the Lou shit was in full swing so, yikes.
Nick D, Blowbax and John Swanling are starting to grate on me. I appreciate researched vids on crazyness but i can't watch a half hour read of a twitt loger between literal nobodies.

Personally Babish is an entertaining channel since his content is just recreating foods from television, and there were some cooking tips sprinkled in that did help improve my cooking, especially with his Basics series.

However, I find Joshua Weissman to be the more annoying Youtube chef since he acts very smug in his cooking and pretty much flexes the expensive shit he has, made an entire series flexing on Fast Food companies as though even the common chef can't make things better than fast food companies which are meant to be made cheaply for massive manufacturing purposes, and then has really annoying editing. It's only appeal is for eye-candy.

I hate RLM with a passion and in my mind they are to blame for the Disney Trollogy through simple Butterfly Effect.

Markiplier used to be the guy you'd watch for some LPs when you were sick of the Pewdiepie propaganda and his ignorant casualfag style with high pitched screams around 6 years ago. Then Mark started copying that and became just as unbearable or worse, while Pewds moved on and is now watchable although his content is not my thing, and I support him out of principle.

JerryRigEverything went full BLMtard.

JeremyJahns deserves a punch in the face, a bottle of Ritalin shoved down his throat and a torture chamber that shocks him whenever he makes a jump cut in his video editing software.

All the mainstream "premium influencer without clear direction" channels that are nothing but Pewds wannabes.

AVGN and Cinemassacre are an empty shell coasting on brand recognition.

Cinemasins and shit like honest trailers started this shit "culture" of pretentious edgy nitpicking tailored for consoomers looking for a fix after RLM "totally owned george lucas"

I have a great dislike towards the former retro gaming cliques on YouTube and I am thankful most of them aren't relevant in the current landscape.

Agreed, they got old quickly. AOS went full TDS last I checked? He used to be old school Gamergate. Pat the punk is a literally whomst, just coasting on his only appearance years ago in AVGN.

React (fine brothers). i remember them trying to copyright the word "react "so they could be the only ones doing react videos on youtube. it pissed all the other reaction content creators off and it backfired on them. they also were very political during the 2016 election and had kids/teen give their "opinion" on trump.

the channel seems rather dead (by big content creator channel standards) and only get 100k views per video when they used to easily get 1M per video.

Is it really that well liked of a channel, though? I'm pretty sure most people (especially other Youtubers) hate reaction channel videos.

This is more a rather ironic one, but I’m amazed how many people are sticking up for Mini Ladd after he vaguely admitted that he’s was soliciting minors for nude pics and vaguely promised to work on his mental health

NicoB. He acts like such a great guy, but in reality, he’s a jerk who let his popularity get to his head. He’s great at hiding it, though, so it’s basically impossible to improve, unless he slips up big.

Dan Olson. I can't get into any former Channel Awesome youtuber who aren't Angry Joe. His videos comes off as so arrogant and "Too big for little minds". That and he has a Twitter and thats a whole different can of worms

I don't have any issues with his content but Skillup has an extremely smug punchable face.

Agreed, I really dont understand why every game channel now needs to have a face cam. Nobody wants to look at your ugly mug, I'd rather see the same gameplay on loop 20x.

Gmanlives is damn good at understanding this, hence why he's my favorite (read:the only tolerable) gaymer youtuber out there.

Another example of this is SunnyV2. Dude makes great content, and is one of the best E-celeb "biographers" out there, but his face is not a welcome sight.

One that I think is okay but getting stale fast is the Critical Drinker, who has essentially made the same exact video for the past 3 months.
-Ess Jay Dubellews
-Same shitty clip reactions every 2 minutes
-Main character is a Mary Sue
-Not even drunk anymore
