I just wanted to say Happy Birthday PandaRee! Although we did not like your attitude, personality, or whining, you did provide us some amazing content that made watching the DSP Show more tolerable. Glad you left that pigroach and realized that you can do WAAAAAAAAAY better than a lazy fat middle-aged man who yells at kids to give him money. dsp doesn't really care about the guy who died of cancer, he uses the story to re-iterate his own battle with 13 credit cards

even though it's not directly mentioned, dsp feels like his own struggles with credit card debt is on par with cancer

i'm memeing with the credit cards but it boils down to dsp's financial issues, whether it's taxes, bankruptcy, foreclosure, loans, mortgage(s) etc, & he hasn't struggled with anything else that can be associated with being something "behind the scenes", or "wanting to keep something private"

a lot of the language he uses in the clip, is language he has used to describe things in his own life, hope this makes sense

there also this clip where phil makes a direct comparison between his own private life vs a cancer patient

The funny part of this is Phil DOES want people to feel sorry for him and ALWAYS brings up his "behind the scenes" woes. He always tells us about his debt and taxes and everything else. This fucking guy cries on stream if his cat woke him up early.

But be nice to him because you "don't know what he's going through" even though he tells you every five seconds while HINT HINTing.

To Phil: No one tears you down on a daily basis because you're a public figure, they do it because you're a massive ass hole.

I can't remember which detractor did it but the channel went over some old vlogs. A couple of gems that pop up is that they celebrated Leanna's birthday a week or more late for two years straight. Translate that to today and it's not surprising that Phil has done the bare minimum when celebrating Kat's birthday...

DSP is self or having family members tip to keep the goal going, why anyone would think he isn't is crazy. In his position I would 100% self tip to keep momentum going, momentum means you have to far do less work and less enticing to keep large amounts of money coming in from your audience. Even if I had to tip myself $40-50 every few days, or even every night I would do it it because it still means more money in total. It's not even against the ToS, and even if it was how are they going to prove it?

You can even see it when the "saving" tips make the streak about "not letting the detractors win". It's marketing to a cause, a holy war. He knows what he is doing, he uses phychology to keep these people invested in filling his bank account and misrepresnts it as a good cause against bad people. The money coming from people who may have been bullied themselves years ago.

Once the streak ends he will go back to single digit tip results at the end of a stream, he knows this. His or his family tipping will always be near the end, to save the streak. A year from now he will still be doing the same thing, unless actual real tips fall to nothing and it's no longer worth the effort.

In the past he cared only about making enough money to pay his debts to a level that he would not be thrown out of his house. Now all the money goes to him as profit, so now he is full greedy bastard mode. If you are business minded you can see the strategy behind most of the things he does, he is manipulating people. Even keeping the silver vest away from people every day so they would not get sick of something they lusted after was a strategy to keep money coming in. He has been doing this for a long time, he is experienced at making a small group of people tip at a far higher rate than is normal.

You can say DSP is a dummy and this is too smart for him all you want but he has been doing this for 20 years and he is making more money now as a middle aged man than he ever has, that means he is good at what he does. What he does is manipulate people into giving him money.

You're giving Phil too much credit and trying to make him sound smarter than what he actually is. I don't believe in the idea that Phil tips himself not because of greed, but because a man who hates playing video games wouldn't ever need to go into overtime just to hit the vest goal. The Paper Mario 1-hour OT is the prime example for this. He panics and stalls when nobody is tipping and don't tell me "he's just a good actor", Phil can't act to save his life. It's obvious when he's frustrated or when he's "trying" to act mad. There is no in-between with him.

Phil is a hermit and whose only family member that would ever consider giving him money would be his parents, but seeing as how they're super boomers, there's no way they would be smart enough to make a shitload of sock accounts just to give their son money when as far as Mama knows, he's still on that 10-year plan to get a job (yes, I know the only source for this information came from the Pig's mouth). If he had any another relatives, he would've told us by now or it would've been picked up by one of his detractors.

Phil may be good at getting retards to tip him, but it's not because he's using psychology or any other business trick. He's been saying the same type of stories since BEFORE he started having to rely on random people tipping him (back when youtube and machinima would give him money from his views and not random retards giving him $$ every day). Yes, he's greedy but we all know that he'll get into financial trouble again. It may not be a credit card debt, but it'll be some other unforeseen instance as the Pig DOES NOT save or plan ahead with his money.

EDIT: I don't see Kat being the secret tipper for similar reasons and for how disinterested she is in her own husband's job. Phil said she watches other streamers and certain things Phil has bought just because of Kat. So to me, combined with how much of a chickenshit Phil is in real life, she's not going to be the one getting budged by Phil to tip him or whatever.

EDIT 2: Phil makes more money than probably anyone here but it doesn't mean anything because he spends it immediately on Gacha games, eating out, and alcohol. Making more money right now does not equal being rich overall He has been doing this for 12 years, not 20 and despite the amount of money he's made in that time frame, he still had to declare bankruptcy and had to have his parents bail him out on a few occasions.

Did Phil ever even show any comics off? Like most people who are in to comics have, you know, a comic collection. I'm not even that in to them but I certainly have my favorite graphic novels and shit lying around, and some singles of issues from the 5 seconds I tried actually keeping up with comics. Phil strikes me as the sort of faggot who would buy a bunch of comic merch but hasn't even read a comic in his life. Mind you, buy merch from whatever you want, it's just merch, but clout chasing a hobby you're not in to is insane and pathetic.

I've watched him play Marvel games, my very first posts on this forum were answering questions about his statements on Marvel stuff.

He knows about as much for Marvel as he does DC, the only reason he knows anything at all is because of the MCU and old x-men cartoon.

To be entirely fair to Phil, and by that I mean I do doubt he's read comics seriously since decades ago, back when not getting his first edition Wolverine figurine was a grave-enough event it'd sear itself into his mind forever, nowadays you can probably go full digital, legally, even, and it's a pretty damn good deal especially if you have a backlog of stuff to go through (And who doesn't, the X-Men are way over twice my age). If you include some people simply read comics illegally, I don't think it'd be that unrealistic for someone to be a legit comic book fan without any physical copies.

Of course, I don't see Phil ever being that sort of guy, seeing as he loves his collectibles and flexing his hardcore-ness, but honestly, I read a lot of stuff online for completeness' sake that I don't want to own physically, I just don't care enough, but there are stories that I will absolutely buy because I loved them. But he does seem to still harbour some love for comics, seeing as he played Marvel Future Fight and most likely dumped some money in it, but it's probably more of a "Oh, I like those characters !" thing than true passion, especially since reading things is probably too much effort for him.

Astounded at this Batman: Arkham City playthrough. I'm fascinated. It's just low-energy, low-effort. No lore, no interest in the story, no critical thinking. Also, he just went off on a tangent about how he can't do a FunhausTV, 24-hour stream type deal on his Twitch. I'm not ultra familiar with Twitch, but it sounds like he's wrong about that.

I didn't think it was this real. I've lurked the Farms for a while, but signed up to chime in that yeah: the lack of engagement in the game is head-scratching. I feel bad for people who genuinely support Phil. Like - Solomon Grundy just showed up! That should be exciting! But nothing from Phil about how cool that should be. I don't expect anyone to know a deep history of comics, but goddamn, Phil doesn't know shit.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but fairly certain Solomon is only an immortal zombie because he was dumped in Slaughter Swamp, which just had a bunch of fucky chemicals in it. Might also have to do with The Black, but doesn't have anything to do with magic to my knowledge.

Like mistaking some random assassin for Talia goes way beyond "likes the characters but doesn't read comics"
