Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I'm old enough to remember that these protests were started over police brutality and everyone, left and right, was in agreement that the cop was in the wrong and people wanted to talk about fixing the system.

That position has aged like sour cream in a desert.
Motte, meet bailey.
BLM is Motte and Bailey the organization. On a surface level it has a feel good name and goal, but it was founded and is run by a bunch of "trained Marxists" (their words, not mine) and is heavily funded by the Soros Foundation (or it was when it first started out, now so many corporations have shilled out cash to this monstrosity that it's drowning in cash from multiple sources).

Nowadays these protests are about how the protesters have a right destroy any private property they feel like (and kill anyone who gets in their way) any time they see a story they don't like on the news. Because that's the current, bottom up Marxist scheme to destroy property rights and capitalism in America.

Yep, from the very beginning. "We just want you to stop killing us!" to "We just want you to fundamentally tear down your society and rebuild it in our favor!" Though even the motte position is ridiculous once you see what it actually entails, but it sure sounds good.

Every since Rand Paul got attacked the number of Anti-Trump hashtags trending on twitter has went up, The left must be in full panic cause now they stop saying "Peaceful Protest" and calling it Trump riots.

Yeah, about that...

Sundays seem to be "censors asleep at the wheel" time over at the Twitter Algorithm Tweaking Department.

Bill Corbett (one of the MST3K/Rifftrax guys) is unintentionally being funny for the first time in a decade:

They’ve pretty much all gone full TDS over there, with one major exception: Mike himself, a known conservative Christian who flat-out deleted his Twitter a few years ago, most likely over people constantly nagging at him to disavow Trump on Twitter when he never openly supported him in the first place and explicitly kept his politics to himself as much as possible.

On that note, I'm shocked that they didn't abandon Mike outright when Joel got back into the game and started up Cinematic Titanic and ultimately, the revival of MST3K. Then again, it's been rumored that Mike DID pull Joel aside and warned him about Felicia Day being a woke bitch who would kill the revival with her woke shit, leading to the meme joke that Joel pimp slapped Felicia on Mike's suggestion, to ensure she kept her woke shit to herself while the revival of MST3K was in production (though not Patton Oswalt, due to the fact that Patton outright BOUGHT his role in the revival via donating money to help get the revival off the ground). So Joel might at least have more common sense than his former costars when it comes to keeping his opinions to himself.

A bit of wisdom. They are not a friend if they are only online.

We would see Lindsey Graham and Nancy Pelosi walking lockstep, while both canonized any FBI investigation.

Just to flesh out the picture you're painting, you need Pelosi screaming "Off with his head", Feinstein drinking a martini and putting out her chiffon on the ass of her handler/commisar, and Adam Schiff attemptng to cross the floor in an armless break-dance worm move on his belly as he spits out "Russia! Russia!" from his mandibles. The director's cut would have Jerry Nadler on a Bowflex, temple veins pulsing as he grunts "Impeeeeaaachment" right before the brain aneurism. Extra points if it's subtitled in Chinese and Spanish. Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon can weep openly over Hillary Clinton smirking with a wild-eyed "I tole yooo so" interview discussing the aftermath.

I've had several police cars in front of my street. It's a platoon or at best a company. She's pushing battalion level shit.

Any attempt by Congressional Democrats murdering Trump would be limited to Pelosi sneaking a gun into the State of the Union and shooting Trump in the back of the head, while screaming "Sic Sempre Tyrannus". Followed by Nancy shooting Pence and then herself, since no fucking way Pelosi will allow herself to be taken alive or put on trial since, if you are desperate enough to commit such a high profile assassination, you'll off yourself like a coward so that you don't have to face the consequences of your crime. .

Isn’t this normal for record companies to own rights to the songs?

No, not any more. Well, maybe.
Its complicated - the rights for the song are usually divied up; Company gets a cut, the artist gets a cut, and the song writer gets a cut (because the only band that writes its own music is Nickleback). Usually the "rights" are (essentially) leased to the company who work with collaborative catalogs to whore them out for top dollar so the money flows back to the royalty holders.

When someone is retired, or nearly so, they will usually do a "Catalog sale"; they will sell their royalty stakes for one large payday. If you were around to remember in the late 90s/early 00s where they started putting out those "Hits of the 70s" compliations, it was because lables and rights companies were buying everyone out of their rights to those songs.

I knew a guy who was a song writer - not wildly successful but had a half-dozen gold records hanging up - and after about 40 years in the business, he didn't go into specifics but he said his catalog sale "got him 8 figures".

Taylor Swift just sounded like she wanted to end any business deals with the record company and keep all possible earnings from her music to herself, which isn’t how the music industry works. Hell its why concerts are such a big thing for musicians, they get ton of money from tickets and also get to try selling plenty merch at them.

Taylor Swift is easy to explain:
Daddy Swift is well off, his little girl wanted to be a music star, so he bought a record label to make it happen. Taylor therefore didn't pay much attention to how her rights were arranged because Daddy was signing the checks and running the business. Then comes the sale of Big Machine and all these poorly structured deals suddenly became a big thing.

They are also funneling their fund raising, after taking thier cut, more-or-less directly to the DNC. Specifically the PAC "MoveBlue".

Veruca Salt has way more talent and better songs than Taylor.

You don't quite know how right you are.

tl;dr Big Machine was solely dedicated to promoting Taylor Swift. Taylor starting out was very....raw. All of Big Machines's resources were focused on getting her trained, ready, and finding the right material to make her a star. It had other artists on the label solely to provide plausible deniablity it was more a vanity project and also to provide mentorship; but Taylor got first dibs on any song writing output which led to some "friction" as I was lead to understand.

I have regretfully forgetten the exact whys of Daddy Dearest finally cashed out, but it boiled down to he had gotten his baby girl her gold records and fame, and as she was like 30 now he was tired of bank rolling her dreams of superstardom. I think he was also financially over extended and had to cash out to avoid ruin, but I might be getting my tales of gravy train derailment mixed up.
(There was someone who said all her albums were about her slutting around made daddy displeased, and John Mayer was the final straw for him; but I think that was /pol/ talking shit?)

That used to be the deal. You'd sign with a major label. They'd keep the copyright to your works and in return pay for studio time and give you promotion. Artists would usually make money through publishing (covers and whatnot), touring, and merch. Taylor's first album came out in 2006. So she signed on just as that era of music was about to end. It was in the late 2000s that things began to change and finalized in the early 2010s.

Now of days, artists keep the masters for themselves and licenses them over to the labels. Or just do it indie. DAW software and hardware has made it so anyone can make a professional recording at home for under $5k. Hell, you can do it for $2k. Studios are really only used for its ambiance or because its historical or it can produce a really good drum sound.
It's the reason why Daft Punk signed up with a music label at the time that didn't screwed them over. They knew how sketchy the music industry was at the time so they made sure that they were able to keep the rights to their own songs then.

This is not the first time that Far-Left extremists groups have done this. Weather Underground is a perfect example of this anyway.

They're supported by the same cabal of Jewish lawyers too. The National Lawyer's Guild laundered money for the WU and defended members in court. They also defend BLM rioters and AntiFa members who are caught attempting murder or arson.

I saw the first few seconds trying to equate white nationalist with nationalist, then they followed it up with the fine people on both sides lie and I had to stop. This is the content this thread needs more of, thanks for sharing.

Yeah, if MST3k go political, that's a "nuke the fridge" moment.

Millenial Science Theater did go a little woke, there were like 2-3 little 'only funny if you drink the koolaid' zingers in each of the couple of episodes I tried. There were also some "lol whites don't have any culture" jokes in O.G. MST3K, they were just slight enough they never pinged on the RADAR at the time, but do now.

Rifftrax has already started to slip in some BLM/BelieveAllWomen shit in at least on their live shows.

I'm fearing that may increase.

Humor dies in assrage. And they must be desperate to be taken seriously or relevant if they believe that their talking over some old public access movies makes them able to be anything else but "those guys from 25 years ago that nerds still remember and like".

I know most people are laughing at the Biden campaign, but I wouldnt count him out just yet. Amhole predicts something major will happen around mid to end of October to further make Trump look like the bad guy. Furthermore, the DNC will do absolutely anything to gain power again, even if it means doing some illegal behind the scenes shit. So if Biden wins, I wouldnt be suprised in the slightest. Question them, and you'll be considered someone who cant accept election results that Biden won.
And like I've stated before, if they win by illegal means, they'll do everything to make sure nothing like 2016 ever happens again and 100% make sure they never lose power again.

Did anyone tell this guy that Dillon Roof shot up that church before Donald Trump ever announced his run for office? You know what? Never mind. Don't let something as inconvenient as the truth stand between you and a narrative.
