Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

tfw you spent the past year blaming the Chinese for fucking up your country when it was just a flu and the fault lies in yourselves for overreacting

Remember when western powers were too eager to fall over themselves to prove how strongly they were against anti-Chinese racism? That appeasement is what allowed things to get where they did. China is still the problem.

Can't wait for HHH to sperg about how we're killing grandma's if we dont wear a mask every second of the day
Not like literally anything else can do that... like a massive heat wave... which DOES indeed happen more to old people than young ones because there are idiots that actually LIKE going outside when the temperature outside is lava.

When Lori Lightfoot got her hair styled while normal people were confined to quarters, people suspected that it was a load of shit, but when guidelines were amended to allow protests while prohibiting other activities involving large groups of people (e.g., church services, barbecues, the 4th of July), it became obvious the Wu Flu was nothing more than a tool to obtain and maintain control.

The one silver lining with all of this is that employers have taken a completely different tune when it comes to sick employees. I've come down with strep three times (kill me) this year. My employer hasn't said a goddamn word to me about missing work.

Pre-COVID? I would get told to come on in, but just don't hang around anyone.

Wasn't this the case everywhere? Mostly elderly and severely ill people die of COVID-19, like in Italy, where more people get to live to 90? This shit is news on account how media handles it.
It's always been "you don't want Grandma and Grandpa to die, do you?", not "SPANISH FLU AND EBOLA IN ONE NEAT PACKAGE" where I live.

Anyway, I smell (((shenanigans))).

That reminds me of this South Park clip.

Man, if I spent the past five months freaking out about something that only kills old people, I would feel really dumb right now.
Is anyone going to @ him?

You're not the only one who wished that wish.

Btw, Corona-chan did kill its share of black people and they said black lives matter but only when killed by cops not by Corona-chan. :story:

Its almost like this whole crisis has been manufactured.
Suddenly only corona exists, other more deadly diseases dont exist anymre, other SIMILAR diseases also dont exist.

Corona virus is just a slightly, SLIGHTLY worse cold virus, which btw, CAN kill you (you will be surprised at the number of dummies that dont know that simple fact).

This was all a test for the elites to see just how much of the average man will fall for a manufactured crisis they made. And oh boy, it seems it was a perfect sucesse...for a while anyway. Their lies would get exposed sooner or later.

I honestly cant wait for Corona virus go into history for it being one of the biggest medical-governmental scams in history and the ones responsible all be dealt with (tho thats rather very positive I admit)

Inb4 he finds some other spin that allows him to continue sperging about how everyone is dumb but him. Also a&h is full of nazi manlets or something.

But guys his sister who totally exists got super sick! That is how he knows WuFlu is 100% just as bad as Mega Cancer AIDS!

Also just because the cause of death was listed as WuFlu still does not mean they actually tested positive for WuFlu. Coroners and hospitals were just slapping that shit on death certs if their symptoms fit and what a coincidence they happen to often match the actual Flu. Guess what we had in 2020? A bad Flu strain which was being reported on until WuFlu became the Panic du Jour at which time it was rapidly memory holed for certainly no political reasons.

People need to swing for this shit.

You guys don't know how to read charts, do you?

Taken from Facebook from a doctor (and he's right; I just woke up and am too tired to type it up myself): https://www.facebook.com/mark.halstead.31/posts/10220921422219784

OK. Since this seems to be trending and I've even seen pastors and our own President retweet and misrepresent what this statistic means about the CDC report on underlying medical conditions (comorbidities) and COVID, I felt obligated to explain this to my family and friends who aren't sure what this may mean.
The CDC released a report of deaths from COVID, from which to date we have had over 180,000 of our fellow Americans die, and the thing capturing everyone's attention was the highlighted stat that only 6% of the deaths from COVID could be attributed to COVID alone. If we are truly being scientific that number is probably high and it is probably 0% that COVID ALONE is the source of death. Let's explain that.....
Typically one does not die solely from an infectious disease. Typically you may get one or more of the following from getting infected: sepsis (an infection in the blood), respiratory failure (your lungs give out), you get a pneumonia that also causes your lungs to give out, you have heart failure, your kidney or liver stops functioning correctly and then you die. Those are all possible diagnoses IN ADDITION to the infection (in this case COVID but we can substitute flu, measles, hepatitis, etc).
When someone fills out the death certificate, they list the probable or definite causes of death for that patient based on the data and information around that case. Some places may add more ICD-10 codes (in medicine, this is the system we use when we add a diagnosis to the chart....more on this later). So, let's say someone was admitted to the hospital because of symptoms of COVID. They test positive, so COVID would be listed. Their case progressed where they developed respiratory failure and now are on a ventilator. Respiratory failure can be listed. But since we know COVID also can have a significant affect on the heart, ultimately they may get an arrhythmia (your hearts conducts the electricity wrong so your heart can't function) and that causes them to die. So we can also add cardiac arrest to the death causes. So now 3 things are listed on their death certificate. The COVID infection started the process but that lead to the heart and lungs failing which killed that person.
Quick on the ICD-10 diagnoses. This is a VERY long list of medical diagnoses....codes actually, that we will attribute to patients in their medical charts. In sports medicine for me, a patient may come in who has a right knee problem, commonly one I see is called patellofemoral pain. I would list this as "patellofemoral pain syndrome of right knee" and there is a matching code for that diagnosis, but I may also add "weakness of hips" to that patient as that is something that we can identify on exam that can contribute to their problem. So technically the patient has a diagnosis of patellofemoral pain, but the weakness of the hips can cause that problem. They get two things listed. Same goes when using this system for attributing causes of death on the death certificate. The patient's heart stopped (cardiac arrest is the diagnosis) from damage caused to the heart because of the COVID infection. COVID and cardiac arrest are listed.
But we also know other things can be risk factors for someone having a bad outcome from getting infected with COVID (the things that make you high risk). Preexisting obesity, uncontrolled diabetes, poorly controlled asthma or other chronic lung disease that could lead to respiratory failure because the lungs are already fragile, as a few examples. With those preexisting issues, someone may also add those to the death certificate. An astute doctor would add those diagnoses so if researchers wanted to look at death certificates to help sort out and give us data on COVID, that could help identify what problems a person had that lead to their death and use that information to further the science. It's not ideal, because it depends on who reported it and how detailed they decided to be. But it’s what we have.
So we actually should be MORE surprised that COVID was listed BY ITSELF on 6% of the death certificates because something else happened from the COVID infection that led to that individual's death, not just COVID alone.
So what specific diagnoses were in the most common with the COVID diagnosis.....pneumonia, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, heart failure, renal (kidney) failure, diabetes, hypertensive disease (high blood pressure), and dementia. Not a surprising list.
We shouldn't be twisting that statistic to think.....well here is evidence of a big hoax because COVID only caused 6% of that 180,000+ reported deaths in our country and the other 94% had nothing to do with COVID. That's a very incorrect interpretation of these statistics, something that is being done too commonly in this day and age. We actually should be asking, why don't we have the full story on that other 6%.........

tl;dr: You rightwing tards don't know how to read these kind of charts. Stop being a boomer and believing everything you see on Facebook
EDIT: Lol at the negrates. You guys are mad
