So this guy made a video about the situation and it's pretty much how I feel about it. Nice to see someone with an open mind and willing to say yeah joke sucked but it's not that bad.

If you ask me, and this is just my opinion, what really pissed these people off wasn't Vic appearing at the con or even him making that harmless COVID joke; it's that he had a funko doll made after him.

Think about it: out of all the voice actors they could've chosen - Steven Blum, Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Johnny Yong Bosch et al - they chose Vic. It's just like Monica griping about Vic's name appearing on that DVD box cover, but not hers. These people couldn't give less of a fuck about COVID. Why? Because the crux of this issue is jealousy. They hate that Vic is still working and is still popular while they're currently secluded and unknown. Last year, it was a box cover. This year, it's a plastic doll.

Also, notice how the only people who are "pissed off" about that joke either work for Funimation or are friends with people from Funimation. Meanwhile, if I'm not mistaken, even many of the most fervent anti-Trump voice actors outside of the company don't seem to care. I guarantee that if someone like Alex Moore had a doll made after her, she'd be happy. But because it's Vic and not her or even any of her friends, her disdain for this "trash" translates to "Why wasn't a doll made after me?"

I wouldn't be surprised if Vic knew this was going to attract a lot of negative feedback and was laughing at his ass off over the response he got.

He should know by now that they will always take him out of context no matter what he says. I think it's more along the lines that Vic just doesn't give a shit anymore and is just living his life and trying to have as much fun as possible despite the hordes of lunatics on social media trying to ruin him and drag him down. Because we're at the point where nothing Vic can say or do would change people's minds and opinions about him. All he can do is let the case show the evidence of who's the real bad man here and let human thought process run it's course.

Vic knew what he was getting into when he filed the lawsuit.He knew a big part of what to come was when Rial,Shamu ,Sabbat and others did a Judas/ Brutus move and stabbed him in the back.But he didnt let them fully destroy him how hard they tried. His fan base and true friends stood up for him and some had to stay in the shadows for various reasons THEN once the Farms started debunking all Rial's lies and her faggot liars and Vic is still standing for all of that.
Once he got over the shock of it all,that's when it all changed.
Plus his faith and the fan base keeps him strong.
It says a lot when people will wait in long lines to see you and your gay pants..even in a pandemic.
