Ken is a real person. He used to be Russell’s friend and encouraged his lawsuits. He’s not a lawyer or anything but he is the only person that ever gave Russ positive feedback.

Look at the last comment. I dunno why so many people think he’s entirely made up.
There's one bit about Russhole's rant I want to draw attention to in particular. We have yet another example of Russhole threatening to commit suicide/talking about how he totes tried to commit suicide in an attempt to get people to feel sorry for him and/or get out of trouble.
As a true blue malignant narcissist, Russhole is extremely unlikely to ever commit suicide (at least deliberately; some day he may set up a situation to make people think he's going to do it and fuck it up). But he sure does like to talk about doing it to manipulate people. I find this a particularly reprehensible aspect of his character, and that's saying a lot considering what a reprehensible person he is overall.
Honestly I hope someday he tries the suicide threat on someone IRL who will respond by calling in a wellness check on his ass. He deserves to have the cops show up at his door and embarrass him by making him explain he was just threatening to commit suicide for attention so he can avoid a 72 hour psych hold.
Sorry for the late reply.
This is correct and to the person who said she felt sorry for the girl. I managed to message with her later and she said she was able to handle (the key word is "HANDLE" as in handy) him in pretty short order and she has a relative who is truly disabled and she put him in his place pretty quickly. While she may have been new in that brothel, she had her wits about her and a strong personality and I for one, applaud her.
Good for her! No wonder Russhole was so focused on emphasizing to everyone what a studly stud he totally was in bed and how he wore the girl out with his fruits. He was probably furious that he had to settle for a handjob because he only brought $$$ (and a copy of his book!) and tried to lowball the girls on getting sex with kissing.
I'm not a lawyer, but I can tell Russ is completely wrong here. He can't seem to distinguish between different types of gifts and doesn't understand why Taylor (or anyone else for that matter) would accept some and not others. She took the cranes and other items because she can't get sued over those. She can't take original unsolicited works from anyone or she opens herself to a major lawsuit. Russ apparently can't grasp that, because if he did, he'd realize he had no case. Her agents would have been negligent to Taylor had they accepted the song. This seems to all go back to Russ thinking exceptions should be made for him. Russ does think he knows as much as a lawyer, his words and actions imply that. I think he really did go see a lawyer before deciding to sue TS himself, because the lawyer he mentions in the book is spot on about why he has no case. Russ apparently also doesn't grasp what agents are supposed to do. Their job, in case Russ is reading, is to function as a buffer between the public and the client. They keep people like Russ from bothering the client and causing problems. He has no grounds to sue them or TS, but now, they have grounds to sue him, only it's not worth it because he's a penniless chump.
I also believe Russhole consulted with at least one lawyer before he filed his small claims court suit pro se. I don't believe the various bits of hyperbole in that section of the book (like how a receptionist repeatedly screamed at him or how one lawyer laughed on the phone at him for like 15 minutes straight). But I do believe there's a kernel of truth in that scene.
I find it interesting that the lawyer described in the book clearly listed out and explained all the reasons why Russhole didn't have a case. All the exact same reasons that his original lawsuit was dismissed. We know from the testimony of people who have known him (and from passages in his own book) that Russhole tends to tune out anything he doesn't want to hear. Yet he remembered all of this advice. So Russhole admits he was told ahead of time that he didn't have a case and why, then he went ahead anyway and filed it (with obvious results).
I think that's why Russhole turned his friend Ken into the "Ken the totes for realsies lawyer who agrees with everything I'm doing!" character, as well as making up the other lawyer character in his book who saved him from his suicide attempt (that never happened, but I digress); I think his name was Walter? He made these people up so he could claim "See, these TRUE and HONEST lawyers agreed with me, I'm not crazy, I'm in the right!" to balance out all the actually real lawyers who told him he had no case.
